i am 42.6% concerned about matt fryatt, 17.4% concerned about mckenna, 12.33% bothered about everyone on here who has mixed concerns about either, and 37.77% bar the rest. i think that makes 110%, but i am most concerned that most people want footballers to give 110% when it is obviously impossible!
For me it's worse that the scan is clear and it's still giving him problems than if the scan had shown something. At least if there was a clear problem then we could get the right treatment in the right area, right now the only sign of a problem is pain, which is worse.
The word achillies gives me shivers, a friend I used to play football with, who after we both stopped playing, we took up golf and both got very keen. I was away on business and had arranged a 5 a side game at Haltemprice for my son's birthday with his friends, and was supposed to ref the game for him. So I called my friend if he would do it, and he agreed. On the day he blow the whistle to start the game and his first movement he snapped his achillies tendon, and finished up not playing golf for a year, as well as being off work for a month. He was not happy with me.
Agreed. Mckenna has championship promotion battle experience that we need. Steve Bruce said again today on the radio that needs more midfield players not less. Its a long hard season and time for everyone to get a fair crack of the whip. Erm........great wumming and made me smile But its utter drivel and tosh. Correct. But Bruce is trying to change his game a little i think. Mckenna is a great water carrier, imo. Sadly ^^^^ this is very true. Ian Ashbee had the same critics so the ones who dismiss McKenna should not come as a surprise. As for Matty Fryatt its good news about the scan. Let him rest until after the International Break and have him fit and ready to go for the Millwall home game on the 15th sept. Well done. Great job. Lol. I know what you mean. Some people think its a minor injury and will heel quick. The news that the scan is clean is good and should make Fryatts return become sooner rather than later. As for him playing the injured card ? i doubt that very much.
the defensive midfielder/ water carrier argument annoys me sometimes, because anybody who doesnt rate somebody is automatically accused of not understanding the game or what they do, well people do its just some of them arent very good at it, just because there called a defensive midfielder doesnt mean they can get away with just stood on the pitch not doing much like some do. mckenna doesnt fall into this category, i think he does a very good job, as did ashbee, but harper was just **** and shouldnt be mentioned in the same bracket.
Mclean isn't going to score the goals Fryatt does, Mclean is lower-end championship material and not top end/lower PL as we aim to be. Proschwitz needs time & confidence.. that leaves Simpson as the only striker I trust at the mo.. worrying.. could Aluko play up front??
The word 'Achilles' unfortunately reminds me of the song 'Achilles Heel' by Brit-Popsters Toploader, their ultimately unsuccessful follow up to the fetid and twee 'hit' Dancing In The Moonlight. A putrid memory of a putrid band liked by putrid people. PS, I hope Matty recovers soon.
i wonder if part of bruces transfer targets is a plan b is fryatt is ruled out for a long period, premiership loan striker hopefully!
