Swords calm down mate, do not.... ( and I shall re-iterate...) do not go on the Norwich or any one elses boards for that matter. You will only give Brix and Nuts some overtime. Which I'm sure they can do without. Stay calm and stay on here. Simples.
I'd accept that bit it's not the first time it's occurred to me (and never affecting the Rs before). Doesn't mean I'm right but does make it less reactionary that most of this thread.
If MH had the entire pre season to get us ready and yet we're saying we lacked a pre season....then he isn't getting the results is he? Not calling for his head, it's only one game but as it stands, he has f***ed up. We're on the backfoot which is not where we wanted to be. The pressure is on him to turn it around. He can't keep using the 'we tell our players what to do and it's up to them to do it on the pitch' excuse anymore. He has a team of about 50 and must deliver now.
I don't think villa or utd fans would be spewing their guts after slender away losses. Norwich didn't think they would win the first game. We're probably on level terms with Liverpool in terms of disappointment so there's one positive I guess. But they do have a new manager. We started preparing for the new season as soon as the man city game finished, according to TF.
We're not. Liverpool are a Mickey Mouse mid-table side that lost an away game. Hardly a surprise. We on the other hand got hammered FIVE at home to a side that lost its Manager and its top players during the Summer.
Indeed, this is what keeps us interested in the game. Would it be so interesting if everyone beat who they were supposed to beat? Would it be so interesting if everyone lost to who they were supposed to lose to? This season is sure to throw up many twists and turns, none of us will be able to predict every outcome. There lies the beauty. Let's just hope that we don't end up worse off than the worst three.
After last season I was really hoping the surprise results wouldn't involve us and the 5 goal pastings were a thing of the past. So the score stands at NW 1 MH 2.
Exactly 9s. We shouldn't expect to win games any more than we should expect to lose them (including the next 4). Belief is good but expectation isn't. And I'm sure we won't be anywhere near the bottom three come the final reckoning.
I wasn't gonna comment on this thread but ffs, some of on here need to get a grip. You would think the way some on here are over-reacting, that we have already been relegated and all hope is lost. I shall repeat so all can understand........ WE LOST OUR FIRST GAME !!!!! Now please someone talk some bloody sense 'cos this doom & gloom is f****** getting me seriously down.
one thing for sure if we go down easily at Naaaawich the posters will be calling for everyone's heads on Saturday think I might give it a miss
I'm sure 'get a grip it's only the second game of the season' crew will put the doom and gloom to bed. Just watched the interview with Bowen on the offish, he sounds supremely confident we'll get something from Norwich, we'll have a good season and won't be in trouble like last year. He wasn't clutching at straws, sounded really serious. Good enough for me then.
Is that the same Bowen who hadn't even thought about relegation last season when we were in desperate trouble I am sure Bowen would really want us to beat his old Naawich lot though
Great OP Col, think the rest is a bit overboard. we will come good in the end, just hope its sooner rather than later !
Crikey, doesn't anybody go to bed around here? Col writes an excellent piece then wisely turns in for the night, but the rest of you are banging away on your keyboards until 2am. Uber needs all the beauty sleep that he can get, believe me.
