Our problem is the "big" games.. I usually expect a draw at most, whenever we play Chelsea, City or yourselves...
That's when our midfield usually just gets shown up.... You have the opposite problem.

I agree about our midfield...
I think I've said on here before.. Van Persie wasn't my ideal choice for spending £25 million...
I would have brought in the very man who tore us apart tonight (as well as last season) or Martinez, as he can play Centre Back too..

Being completely honest I think it was a slightly desperate buy... Obviously a quality player, can't do much harm in the short term.. But Fergie was scared of City getting to him first... And what it would represent. Signing a player like Van persie "ahead of City" looks good on paper...

 

The tablecloths manager must still be locked in the bog at Goodison, another fine on the cards for the sorest loser in the prem for refusing a post game interview.

They are actually celebrating being ahead of us and United on their board. You couldn't make it up.

 

Surely City just wanted to up their English count before Johnson leaves... And Yaya will be away in january... Whatever their reasons, It was a signing out of nowhere...

It wouldn't suprise me if City (signing Fellaini makes more sense than De Rossi) or (more likely) Chelsea do make a serious bid very soon...
Whoever he joins eventually (and it'll be a big team) I'll be gutted.. He's gonna be even better with a quality side around him..

I'd have been content with signing him alone for this summer.

Darren Gibson !!! He makes me laugh! He hits one decent effort every other year yet the commentators go mad for him when he gets the ball around the box :S then he balloons it over They do they same with Ryan Taylor at Newcastle.

 

His biggest problem when he joined Neverton was he used to back into players and knock them for six. He was getting booked for it every game. He's learned now to just stand there and no ****er can get anywhere close. He made Vidic look like a midget tonight which is no mean feat.

Got to say Jagielka and Distin were class as well tonight. Moyes certainly can pick a player (and coach them well as well).

 

Fellaini is such a weapon... On his game, no-one can contain him... And the sheer thought of him and Yaya ever playing next to each other scares me...

I think Moyes is one of the very best (not measured by success) managers in the league...
When Spurs were being linked with him, I was desperate for it to not happen.

I hope he's still available for when Fergie retires, and that they atleast consider him.... Nobody has a better track record with buying players...
Lescott, Cahill, Pienaar, Fellaini, Jagielka the list is long.. He thinks things through better than any other manager in the league...
And no amount of money (at a big club) will change his approach.

Which is why losing to Everton isn't alarm bells for me... They are so hard to beat.. And had the 3rd best defensive record last season.
I expect City to drop points to them too.
