But he has had time, or at least a lot more time than Laudrup has had, and Swansea had new players in as well. It is starting to seem that he is taking too long to get us playing well enough with anything like a settled team. We don't have so much time - as pointed out a bad result Saturday and we face the possibilty of a disastrous start with the very tough games coming after. Pundit ars*holes on the TV have just been going on about what a total disaster we looked Saturday and the huge number of players MH has played since he joined us. I hate to agree with them, but to be honest I have to. He has got to sort this and quick. He needs to make a number of tough decisions, like for one recognising his biggest mistake in putting a nerve bag in our goal, and get someone else in by 1/9.
Always thought that Hoilett joining spelt the end for Taarabt so really surprised to see in the same team. The conundrum would appear to be either Hoilett/Tarbs on the left, Park right with Diakite & a DM in the middle with Cisse & BZ up front. Question is where's the DM as Derry clearly not the answer for more than the odd game or two.
Calm down everyone. Chins up, chests out, and keep on loving the Rs. After a defeat, and that is all it was.. We will improve and get better and better, our best days are yet to come. I realise that doesn't seem possible after Saturdays result, but Saturdays result didn't seem possible before Saturday. We will win on Saturday, I just know it. As for talk of sacking Sparky, get a grip. That is not an option. He is the right man in the right place at the right time. It will all come right. Wait and see. Patience is a virtue.
Not just yet mate but we can't give him forever to prove himself. I think we'll have a fair idea by the end of October whether, once and for all, he can cut it at the top or if he's just another fly by night.
Please forgive me in advance when on Saturday I re-visit this board and give a sermon on keeping the QPR faith... or the Monkey Mind as Dt prefers to call it. We have the madness of the masses displayed on this very thread tonight. People worried about things that haven't even happened. It's like a mass hysteria.
i fear for his sanity if Norwich do the same to us. I travelled up by train and saw 9 police and there were a couple of Norwich fans at the same station, I did wonder if RangerCol uses the same station as me. Hughes has bought the wrong players just because they were available. Now we have a team that cant play any formation unless Zamora is fit and then we have to drop our best goalscoring threat to accommodate the attacking midfielders. If we still have HH, wed have played 442 and probably won that game.
We're not Crewe Alexandra where we nurture kids in a sh*t League so we can sell them on to a big Club. This IS where its at! This IS THE PREMIER LEAGUE Cerny for fu*k's sake!!! We can't afford to allow players make a mess of everything on the pitch just because they are young. For God's sake, he's 23 now - hardly a child. His time to produce is NOW. Not next month, not next year....NOW!
Is this a joke thread? Mass hysteria has apparently broken out or I've missed the punchline. So, we lose one game and, because we normally lose to Norwich and could lose three difficult games we're what exactly? One win against Swansea away from expectation! We're working on the principle that all other teams (all 19 of them) are going to pick up 3 points per game (presumably there's 6,000,000 points up for grabs). Why are we doing this? Because we played OK and got hit by a sucker punch in a game that we could realistically gone on to win had we been on parity or, heaven forbid, ahead at half time. We looked comfortable on the ball while the game was in the balance but our defensive naivety or our indiscipline undid us as we chased the game. Swansea played in shrewdly and clinically but had all their Christmasses come at once with the scoreline. I've just watched Man U look fairly inept and get completely shown up tactically. I assume they'll join us on zero points at the end of the end season? This is one game that highlights nothing more than a lacking in pre-season. Every time I've seen English teams play Spanish or Italian sides as warm up games, the English teams always look behind the pace despite our season starting earlier. We're just not good at it and it makes a lottery of the early rounds. Laudrup, being a Spanish manager of old, prepared them better. That's all. We have the best team of a generation and a manager that gets results. This thread is paramount to lunacy.
If that's the case Matt, then Mark Hughes should hang his head in shame. He's had two whole months to lick them into shape and you're saying "och sure its just an English thing"? And why the hell would Welsh teams be in any better shape than our own? The cu*ts operate in the same climate don't they?
I don't buy it mate. Dreadful result, dreadful performance, absolutely no excuses. That said, we've got a chance to put it right Saturday.
It might be my selective memory but English teams are always about the same level in the preparation as our European equivalents but our season starts earlier. Throw an ex Spanish league manager in there and voila.
