Everton had the 3rd best defense last year - We were only ever going to score one at most... Sometimes you just have to give the other team all the credit.. They wanted it more and played better. Everton are going to have a good season.
Yeah you could finish ONE place above us again . And maybe win the community shield again this season if city dont want it.
Yeah Nani was ****ing awful. Blunted our attacks whenever he got the ball. I'd say Kawaga looked good though, but Everton did a good job of making sure we couldn't evaluate RVP in his time on the pitch. Lets the bitter Arsenal fan have they're laugh at the miracle of us losing one game. They'll feel much worse at the end of the season.
Didn't finish work till 10 had the game recorded but one of my nicer friends decided to let me know the score. Glad i'm not watching it now i suppose, getting ahead of ourselves i think, expecting new signings to come in a tear it up straight away.
Jagielka Should have been sent off for taking out Welbeck from behind in the first half and again in the second.
Wouldn't read too much into it. Our signings played well for my money with our regulars letting us down. Regardless i think the main reason we lost was the Everton played really well. Its always a tough game and im not worried.
If this is Van Pursey joining to win things, then this was a great start. Citeh already have a 3 point advantage, with another guaranteed 3 points coming on Sunday.
It was from a diagonal angle. Stop mopeing, everyone loses games, though not everyone steals another teams best player just to lose more convincingly.

De Gea aside definately our best player. Decent touches, good positioning, eager. The only real positive of the night.
Said it before, you guys have a terrible midfield compared to your other departments. Rooney had to constantly travel 50m back to see any of the ball. You could be in trouble if Scholes gets injured or something. Everton getting a result at home isn't a crisis, but being dominated like that for more than 60 minutes? Non-existent midfield almost.
Everyone hear agrees about how shot our midfield is. Biggest problem is we needed Carrick in the midfield but were forced to play him as a CB due to injury. Should have played Berbanbauer at the back IMO.
