I cannot go due to work. Anyone there? Anything said about Saturday? What's the atmosphere like? Many thanks.
Should be a easy training session Just need a bit of work on goalkeeping, defending, goalscoring, set plays, tackling, passing and being first to the loose ball
Our defenders and midfielders are all wearing blindfolds, haven't noticed any change from Saturday...
I for one didn't go even though it would have been free, I live 10mins walk from the ground and I have the day off whilst the wife is at work. They don't deserve it after Saturday and my book is much more interesting. 'Jerusalem The Biography' by Simon Sebag Montefiore if you're interested. Good so far.
Jammers we need mushrooms mate and quickly We should all meet (those that can) on SB green and Zen this ****er out
I was there, it was a pretty low key affair. Team photo followed by some training and an eight aside game which was played with high intensity. Green looked really good as did Bosingwa. The players came and did some autographs and photos which really pleased my two daughters. Andy Johnson is a really nice bloke. He is really pleased to be here and said they were racing to get out of the door at Fulham. He said he was gutted when Bobby beat him to it. Park was a bit of a sour puss though, when one of my daughters took too long to pose for a picture ( 3 secs ) he just buggered off and refused to come back and do the photo. All of the players were there except the injured, Hoillett and Onouha didn't show for the meet and greet strangely.
Cheers 999 good stuff and I bet its hard to associate Sat, This forum and what you saw ... keep believing Brother
Cheers 9's. I'm actually encouraged by that. The way you describe it makes me think (? wishful thinking) that they have shaken it off as a fluke and are raring to get on with the rest of the season. Sorry your daughter did not get a photo with Park. Did you hear him being vocal at all. A number have mentioned in various threads that a captain / leader is barking out orders and encouragement during a match.
P Didn't hear a peep from him. He doesn't say anything at all. Even afterwards he didn't speak to the fans and ignored anything that was said to him. He didn't seem too happy. All very strange. The whole of the paddock you sit in mate. 800-1000? Plus lots of people standing. They had to open the corner of the school end.
I'm hoping that Park was not happy (if indeed he was not) because he is not used to losing and will use that unpleasant feeling to shove some rokets where the sun don't shine. Great turnout from the fans considering its a Monday morning and after black Saturday :-(
Thanks 9's. Hope the girls enjoyed it. Not a bad turnout at all all things considering. Maybe the Park thing is just a culture issue. From what I've found, Koreans as a whole don't show very much emotion in day to day life, and can come over as maybe shy and sometimes aloof. Any of our new Korean fans reading care to inject ?
Maybe Park don't understand the London accents? Maybe he wants back to Manchester. Maybe he had his period. Maybe he wants to play Goalkeeper, but MH prefers Green.
I asked in another thread but dont think anyone answered..can Park actually speak English? I've never seen him interviewed.
