I fancy United to win tonight on the basis that Moyes seems a bit in awe of Sir Alex to me usually, maybe he wants his job too. I don't agree with those who say Van Persie is a bad signing for them as he not had much football in his career and pace is not a key attribute in his game, kind of a 12 year younger version of Deano in that respect. A bit off topic here also but I cannot understand the slagging Wenger is getting in the media as selling Van Persie and getting the likes of Giroud, Cazorla and Podolski in is very shrewd business also Sahin rumoured to be coming in on loan? Gervinho will come good this season too. 16 million for Song is great business. Anybody wanting a long-odds bet on Arsenal to win something can do a lot worse.

United will be gunning for them after the 4-4 last season which ultimately cost them the title

No it doesn't. A straight up accumulator would return a higher amount of money.

The best way to win is to not throw money away on betting! Or in fact, become a bookie.

Spend the money on a nice meal and a few drinks.

You never see a bookie cycling or walking to work.

You can't do an accumulator on 3 bets, a patent is 3 singles 3 doubles and a treble. The same stake returns the same as if I'd thrown it all on man u -0.75. So thought it was a safer option.

No Rio tonight and Vidic first PL game back since his injury. MU look poor in defence and maybe Everton can use that to there advantage.

    4 - 4 again anyone ?

I don't know what they do in training, but being without Ferdinand, Evans, Jones and Smalling for the opening game of the season seems rather unlucky.

Carrick's going to play centre back tonight.

Evans is a sick note at the moment but had not heard of injury to Jones and Smalling. Carrick in defence sounds interesting. SAF should just go for it and play all his forwards tonight. :emoticon-0103-cool:

    4 - 4 it is then.

At least we know where Steve Bruve gets his training methods from though.

I was having a similar conversation with junior last night, we watched both yesterdays games and I got a running commentary on who was and wasn't in each of his mates fantasy football teams. He wasn't really interested in who won the games, only on who scored, got an assist saved a penalty etc, so much that if the game had none of his or his mates team in them, he probably wouldn't have bothered watching.

I watched both games yesterday as standard for a sunday But i was angered by how sloppy David Silva was as i have him in one of my PL teams. . He should have had 2 goals yesterday. ffs.

I was suprised, he missed a bagful of sitters, a terrible penalty and looked generally off the pace. I was angered too as I had Man City -1 in my accumulator.

Indeed. I know Southampton played very well but Man City as a team were way off the standard they should be at. I wonder if David Silva's new contract issues had anything to do with it ? On another day Man City would have had 6. Balotelli also missed an open goal when he did not use his left foot which was another miss that sticks in the mind. As one tweeter tweeted after the game, ""Manchester has Not been this upset over Silva since Victoria Pendletons silver at the Olympics."" Lol.

    +++++++

Last night Everton were full value for the win. Man Utd were bullied big time by Mr Hairdoo Fellaini and IF Everton can keep him they can be a top 6 side this season. The addition of Adam Johnson would improve them further no end.

As for Man Utd, they need to hi-jack the Luka Modric deal and quick. Very few chances created as far as i am concerned. Nice to see some big teams near the bottom of the PL. I know it wont last just like the top 3 as well.

I agree Everton were good value for there win, and it is nice to see them getting off to a better start this season than they normally do.

Indeed John. Everton go to Aston Villa on saturday and I would expect them to win that one as well. Nice to see Everton being back near the top from the start of a season for a change. Despite the loss(or is it ?) of Tim Cahill and Jack Rodwell they look better imo.

He could well be But only T.W.T. on that. The recruitment of Adam Johnson would offset his loss no end though. IMO, Adam Johnson has talent to burn.
