Sunderland to splash out for Man City striker Guidetti Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Sun, 08/19/2012 - 08:07 Sunderland are making a move for Manchester City striker John Guidetti. The Sunday Mirror says Black Cats boss Martin OâNeill, having so far failed to prise top target Steven Fletcher from Wolves with a £13m bid, will now turn his attentions to the 20-year-old Sweden striker. A Blackburn loan move for Guidetti fell through with City preferring to sell for around £7m. But Sunderland will face competition from Feyenoord. Guidetti scored 20 goals in 23 games on loan for the Dutch club last term. The Black Cats boss said: âI wanted some people here who were young and who would hopefully be around for several seasons, and Iâve a couple of people in mind.â Read more at http://www.tribalfootball.com/artic...7161?utm_source=main_feed#QmuZhgJhS1mzK51y.99 would love this guy here and would only get better with more Prem games
I dont in any way believe that Steven Fletcher will not be a Sunderland player in the next week to 10 days. Wolves have apprently moved to sign a replacement; the player has handed in a transfer request and picked up a 'mystery injury' for yesterdays game; we have pursued him for several weeks now and are the only serious bidders; MoN wants his man and we already have an expensive teenager who isnt ready to be the number one striker. Fletcher is the number one target and he will be a Sunderland player imo.
I agree with this. Although Guidetti looks a decent prospect (as Wickham did this time last year) I'd rather someone who knows the PL and can go straight into the first 11. If Guidetti comes as well as Fletcher, that's a different story and I'd be happy with that. Saying that, if we do end up getting Guidetti and not Fletcher, I hope the lad proves he's ready for it by banging them in for fun!
If in the next 11 or so days we sign: Matt Phillips Martin Ollson Adam Johnson Steven Fletcher and Guidetti I will be ****ing ecstatic
would be absolutely buzzin if we got them I still think we need a central midfielder with abit of quality, the lads we have are fine against the top team when we need to stay conpact and work hard its the games were we will be dominating and we need someone with abit of vision who can play that pass and someone who oozes class, maybe bring in someone from la liga, the league is technically very good and there is bargains to be had (look at Michu at Swansea) so I hope we go down that route for a CM looks like the Croatian and not Olsson MoN also said he wants a right back so going to be very busy
