Has to be Button. Half asleep there as he drove into the Red Bull pits hoping for a 'magic' pit stop from them. Fair play to him though for admitting he made the mistake, i amdmire his honesty sometimes. Deserved 3rd but great drive by Webber.
Admitting he made the mistake eh? Who else's fault could it be?! I would have laughed if the red bull mechanics took off Button's tyres and THEN realised that he wasn't a red bull. Then they would have to put new tyres on Button to stop Vettel just driving down the Pit lane for no reason.
Donut goes to Button Yes, but imo the biggest idiot was Perez for sheer number of collisions. All of them his fault.
Saw some back markers making a right balls of things today to, but Perez was all over the place today. But is that worse that pitting into the wrong garage? The blue of Red Bull is a long way off McLaren colours Button still had a pretty good race in the end I guess, unlike Perez.
Donut for the rear right mechanics of Alguersuari. Button's honesty comes from his "I don't care, I am still being paid" days at BAR. Being interviewed while strolling along the paddock, saying hellos to whoever passed by... Legend... but that honesty does not apply today
Donut? - Has to be Button and I'm certain he'd say the same. However, this has nothing to do with any idea of 'worst' driver of the day. I was not impressed by Perez on this occasion but, like Button, he has the integrity to take it on the chin and we must remember it was only his 3rd race. In a sense, he raised expectations with his previous two too! The only other 'worst' worth mentioning was probably Williams' overall performance, especially with Maldonado he has not impressed me any more than Karthikeyan so far and the latter probably has a better excuse in that car…
Anyway it wasn't that bad - he was talking on his radio - got distracted ,turned in to pitlane mechanics and as he pulled up in RB they were waving him on. He barely stopped and immediately moved on when he might have REALLY buggered it up. BUT of course lost position to Vettel who was right behind him and out quicker. Button ought to have been out first of course. Egg on face.
Button made an unusual mistake yes, but at least he admitted it. I'll give Perez the benefit of the doubt though, considering he did so well in Australia. Rookies always have a really bad race in their first season. Kobayashi, Alguersuari and Buemi has, and Bourdais had many, but they all made up for it (except for Bourdais)
