I wonder how many Scummers will be going to Church on Sunday morning to say their prayers before their match kicks off in the afternoon!.........good of those nice chaps at SKY to televise the ir embarrassing defeat! I think I will just watch the highlights on MOTD 2 though
Frankly, if Southampton escape a drubbing they'll have done well. As for what I think they score will be, well, Southampton were written off too much last season for me to go for a big scoreline and it wouldn't be the first time a recently promoted team put in a good performance against the League Champions, so I'm going to go for 2-0 for City. To Pompey, if it had been the team we had against Plymouth I would have predicted a clear win for Bournemouth but as we have signed some players since then, and a considerable amount of them were in the team Michael Appleton had pre-season, I think it'll be a much closer contest. So my prediction for it is 2-1 to Pompey.
Mystic Devo has already predicted a 1-1 draw at Fratton, although I'd be delighted to be wrong [if we win!]. Citeh 3-0 Saints. Away to the defending champions isn't exactly the ideal opener after promotion, but at least they'll have got them out the way!
I have a hunch that your fans will play a part in this so give a cautious 2-3 to Boscombe City will win it is just a case of by how many. I'll say 4-1.
Brilliant singing, you not only have to talk about us all the time but you are looking forward to watching us Always said you were a closet fan
But for a team cobbled together like this one has been, it's some feat to even get a draw. Everyone had us down for a sound drubbing.
That's us out the way, a respectable 1-1 draw to start the season. Now the real fun begins- Southampton's reality check against Citeh- and with some other team's today, West Brom, Swansea and Fulham, they have much to fear! So, 4,5, or 6 nil to City tomorrow fellow Blues!
They won't be bottom though, I don't think they will lose 6-0. QPR and Narch fans must be distraught after today. You wait eagerly, all Summer for the first day and get hammered 5-0, ouch!
Of course it was London, every score you have had over the last few seasons, always ends in respectable. So you won't mind if I use the Pompey word after our game tomorrow
Actually although the dirty scummer scored late on, a draw against one of the fancied sides in L1 was a credible result and probably a fair one reflcting the play. However if Ashley Harris' s effort which came back off the inside of the post late on had gone in we could have won 2-1 as I predicted.PUP Good crowd too as I also predicted. Still it should be a goal feast for Citi tomorrow evening!
If, on, hit and any other words you would like to use singing Good result against a fancied side ? Silly me I forgot you were in League 1
Good result for us today, all things considered I was talking to a Bournemouth fan before the game, and he said their new Russian owner had invested £6 million in the club so far, so they were expecting big things this season. The Ruski wants them fighting for promotion as a minium target.
Well we lost but boy am I proud of the way we took the game to City. Two wins next week would be nice.
You certainly played well, SFC4BAG Couldn't believe Lambert started on the bench, and Puncheon played - I thought he was way out of favour !!
