Maybe they watched a different game. Reading the posts on various boards on here the impression was that Wigan were unlucky and coupled with the reaction on the BBC that seems to be the case. Considering you won 6-0 at the DW last season aswell..... Hazard the stand out player?
Oh was it, easy mistake to make really. Knew it was fairly recent. Everyone bar Chelsea fans ( and thats not all chelsea fans ) are saying Chelsea were no convincing, not like a team who are European Champions with the quality they have should be. Now granted its early season and I have not seen the game but I cannot imagine everyone else is wrong. They could be, but its unlikely. This also doesnt mean RDM will be sacked, as I said its just a thread to keep tabs on a rival club more than anything.
I watched the game and I personally thought Mata was your best player by far, Hazard played well though. Wigan (Ramis in particular) were all over at the start of the game and it looked like it could of been a cricket score but they sorted themselves out and in the end could of bagged a couple of goals of their own with a bit more care, Moses definitely had the beating of Ivanovic.
The ban wasn't upheld, they decided not to uphold it because they classed the Community Shield as a friendly.
Ok........ its just that when we have players sent off in friendlies that are not held under FA jurisdiction our players suspensions are upheld. So why not this one, all things considered and in the interest of fair play
I have to admit I found it strange, I would of considered the Community Shield to be more of a competitive game and would of expected any bans to stand, I would of understood if he had gotten the red card in a full friendly because I don't think any of those should be upheld unless it's for a really malicious challenge or violence. The strange thing is, they didn't totally overturn the ban, they just made it for reserve team games only.
