This is a football forum and there will always be disagrements over opinions - that is life. But to start arguing and insulting others becuase of their opinion is taking it too far imo. Obviously others will have a differing opinion on that But lets not destroy this forums good vibe with a few petty arguments.
But then again you don't get the PMs I do. The posted responses speak for themselves. The balance of opinion is actually heavily weighted against you of late. Words of advice. Do me a favour, stick to your promises and step below the radar for a while. Ta.
I agree. We shouldn't be name calling or making personal threats, of course not. But we mustn't take everything too seriously. Today's game was one of the very worst performances I have seen from a QPR team in relation to the expectation that was apparent on here beforehand, so it is right and natural that a lot of us are mighty angry tonight.
Got to support of moderator on this one. If you disagree with someone does it mean that you go straight to insults? I think the board is well moderated. In the early days of these boards - you used to see lots of arrangements for meets and threats and it put lots of people off. If you want to do that go to another board - there are many that still operate at this level. Good post Brix.
We have lost a few good posters on our board of late. Some of them of whom are held in very high esteem. So when they decide to disappear , we must ask ourselves.... When the last of the most self-opinionated posters are the only ones left...who was right?
Agree 999. People seemed to get hounded out and ridiculed. Like the playground. The site should not be a clique. I used to hate bullies who responded by force and not tolerance. They were scared of hearing views other than their own.
More than being hounded some of us just get bored of the usual couple of morons spouting shìte. Most of the problems come from trolling or simple stupidity. Brixton dealt with things correctly imho.
Who have we lost? Seems to me most of the regulars are still here, and new names are coming on every day.
Here Here. I think many, like me, have stepped back during off season/silly season seeing how people react negatively to others thoughts and opinions. If you don't want to be in a forum and share thoughts and views with respect then step away!!
I'd be VERY surprised indeed if COL was one of the one's that's PM'd looking for bans. Doesn't strike me as that kind of bloke at all. Just to be clear, the couple of guys to whom I was referring did not include Imaz. Imaz had a genuine grievance as he was being targeted specifically with reference to something very dear to him. When he blew his top, it was clear the line had been crossed.
Well said Brix. I know I'm not at all a 'regular' poster on here...but I almost completely stopped looking at anything at all over the summer. It seemed every other post ended up being an exchange of insults, threats and general unpleasantness. I for one am glad the season has started again, and therefore hope the focus will turn back to footballing matters...what happens on the pitch, and not what we think of other posters. Possible exceptions could be made for gloating Swans who should quite rightly be told in no uncertain terms where to go.
Because I think Brix insinuated you were PM-ing him to get people banned. Looking back at his post now, I'm not sure if that's what he meant.
Er no. I did not "blow my top" but simply said I wasn't going to continue to post as it was pointless when a couple of posters were behaving like complete idiots. The last thing this forum needs is more **** stirring. Obviously the message hasn't got through to you.
How bloody gracious. I thought you'd reciprocate the approach but you're clearly not up to it. Well, more fool me. Signing off this thread too before people start getting "hurt" again.
Swords......you simply can't help yourself can you? Oh and by the way....I didn't PM Brix asking him to ban you!!
