Firstly we look at lot more organised as a team,a draw would have been a fair result today. Goalkeeper heaton he is a cracking signing the save in the top right hand corner was amazing, the ball was a deadcert for a goal.even the forest keeper was clapping him at our end. The defence was solid carey was brilliant a real leader and some fine defending, fonts did his usual stuff, nothing glamorous,Wilson is a class act.cunningham did well. Midfield Skuse was his usual good standard,Woolford sorry how he gets the nod is beyond me,no penetration at all,Pearson worked hard,Foster had a good game. Albert was very quiet, we need him back to the Albert of old.stead worked his socks off,but he needs to play with a striker alongside him who is quick and pacey. Elliot came on and had the touch of a rapist. Pitman came on to late to change the game. Anderson looked very good,I would prefer him over Woolford he was more direct, caused more problems. Regards the game, we kept the ball well, but the amount of sideways, and backwards balls was far to much. We need more penatration, certainly did not look as dangerous as Forest going forward. We need four points next week,IF we loose to palace on Tuesday we have a massive game against Cardiff on Saturday where a point is a minimum that is acceptable. Loose that and the games become harder to win.we need a decent start,4 points minimum next week. Let's hope we sign that elusive fox in the box.
"The first touch of a rapist" an unfortunate phrase used on a live TV interview by Holloway about one of his players....
I think it was Pardew actually - inane thing to say - let's hope that never happens to a member of their family. Anyway back to football - the performance was promising, but at the end of the day no points - we need to get 4 points from the 2 home homes for a decent start
I had to sit and watch in the forest end as my brother lives in Nottingham and his boys are forest fans. It gives a different perspective listening to the comments of other fans. Overall a draw would have been fair. Forest feel they were lucky and many thought we would nick it. Heaton Wilson and Carey looked good. Generally the back four were solid. Midfield Has no imagination and Pearson was woeful. Adomah would be better on the wing, if DJ signs this might even the balance. Stead had a great shot on the turn saved that deserved a goal but otherwise didn't do much. Marv came on and looked two yards off the pace, he gave the ball away for the goal. Pittman looks like he has been on a chocolate diet all summer! Overall a solid performance and not one that made me feel worried. With a goal scorer up front and Adomah out wide I think we will be fine. A midfielder who can dictate the play is needed but we may have that in Morris if he is up to it
