Like it or not, the Swans deserved to go up and stayed up on merit. Personally, I'd love to see a Welsh Prem derby and for that to happen, we need to join them up there (obviously). Whether or not that happens remains to be seen but they've done their bit, its time we did ours <ok>

Im not one to come on here wishing your club all the best but i like to keep it tidy so fair play to you guys for stoppping it becoming another bitter and boring Swansea/Cardiff hate fest - we could do with some decent banter between the clubs. and even I can see the beauty that would be a premiership S.Wales derby.

As for the rumours who knows only those close to the action. personally I wouldnt be surprised, Brendan was a master at man management and massaging the players egos, even after we played crap hed still come out saying how wed played some beautiful football, used to really grate on me! Laudrup is nothing like that and much more reserved and bringing in a lot of ex players and stating his intention to drastically cut the squad has probably gone down like a lead balloon. Players like Sinclair (if he is still around) may now have to put a shift in to get on the teamsheet.

The Prem is a a league split into two league`s really ,there are the top six sides then the rest ..........

Outside the top six pretty poor league last season as most agree`d and its getting there which is the hard bit ,you just need that little bit of luck to go with the seasons graft .Playoffs just a lottery as we well know but someone has to win it ........;O)

Brendan learnt from the master of defending his players and massaging egos. But I'm sure Jose was never afraid to tell any of them they needed to buck their ideas up when ever it wasn't up to standard and I expect brendan is the same. Fergie too has spent years blaming the ref, bad luck, weather, shirt colour etc etc rather than say " my lot were rubbish". Pep G rarely lost but in his opinion it was even rarer that a loss was down to his sides failings! All of that though is the version the outside world gets, I'm sure the match/analysis on Monday morning doesn't revolve around the ref being a knob...

The common theme is the most successful managers in recent memory, they create a 'them versus us' mentality, I'm a fan of it, it definitely works, whether Laudrup's tell it how it is approach will work for Swansea remains to be seen but I'm not surprised IF a few have taken exception to his differing man management style. If Sinclair needs an arm around him IMO that's what should happen, maybe Taylor or Williams (for example) will respond to be told every flaw in their game and step up, a good manager should understand how to treat individuals to get the best from each of them. That's not to say there has to be one rule for one and one rule for another, just the subtle differences in how you approach and deal with people.

Good post <ok>and i dont disagree with any of this - Brendan was superb for us and delivered the Premiership dream, however the groundwork had already been done by others and he did have his flaws, for example player favouritism with Sinclair in particular. im all for protecting players but it works both ways and it must have been demoralising for Routledge to see so many average performances from Scott without getting a chance.
Its early days of course but there didnt seem to be many issues with morale today at Loftus Rd - fantastic stuff!

Any demolition of those arrogant London sods is approved by me. Gonna enjoy the demolition on Motd and Michu's goals :)

Interesting to see some of the comments here. <ok>

The "Laudrup is hated" thing was indeed started on Twitter and turned out to be completely untrue, but I guess you were not to know that.

If you do watch MOTD keep a look out for Michu's second goal to put us 2 up. Wow! <ok> Brendan who? <laugh>

Briiliant. Up there with Gera's goal vs Pool for this weekend. QPR probably should have scored but Laudrups got everything dead on. They hit the bar twice in the first half as well.

I get the feeling that 10% of the Premier League will be teams from Wales next season , I only say that because I believe it !

Listen i am a regular at Llandarcy and there is no problem at the training ground, it is a load of rubbish started on twitter by someone who probably has too much time on their hands.

    <ok>

It's called an away kit. Under regulations this needs to be a different colour to the traditional home kit... oops sorry, didn't mean to rub it in (shame on me)

PS we brought out the red away strip before you had to sell out <cheers>

anyways ... thanks for the mostly positive well wishes amongst the usual wums... it's reciprocated

Great winning start for welsh teams, we were lacking goals with brendan but with laudrup i can see plenty of goals this season, 5-0 away was a let off for qpr we should have had 8 at the very least....trouble at mill....I dont think so..<ok>
