How many 0-5 defeats are too many against a team like swansea who just changed manager and don't have depth of squad that we do?

Was half-way through writing an analysis of todays game, but stopped. Didn't deem it neccessary. So much I could say though. Said at the start of the season we need to sign defenders and that was proven today. Defensive coach needs to be shot. Ferdinand, Hill, Onuaha, Cisse, Diakite and Taarabt all below par, some awful. Diakite is overrated, no argument. Park gave captain's performance, him and Hoilett our best players. Mackie is NOT a winger FFS. Bosingwa is a welcome addition but not the answer to our problems, we need someone in the shape of Zouma, Sakho, Samba etc. Absolutely depressed, onwards and upwards I suppose. keep the faith, COYR's.
I'm also gunna stick my neck out and say someone such as Joey Barton would have been exactly what we needed in a toothless midfield display. No grit or willingness to get stuck in whatsoever.
Cheer up guys, you are not the only side to get thumped 5-0. Roll on next week, should be a nervy game between two side who don't want to lose badly again.
They are a team who finished 11th last year, we finished 17th. Who are we to look down our noses at Swansea? There seems to be a sense of entitlement from some areas of the support to finish above teams "like Swansea". What does "a team like Swansea" mean? A good squad doesn't guarantee success, and it's going to be a very long season. 14th would be an achievement.

The emperor has no clothes. Mark Hughes is an overrated underachiever as a Football Manager. However, he didn't become that today, he was an overrated underachiever last season too.
Remember the missed goals and dodgy reds and the fact we made the FA look stupid - their position above us was deserved but only just, and given our investment in the squad and the crap that MH,IT,PB and TF have spouted it's just a huge face palm moment. Not just that stereo, also the fact that our squad is worth about twice what theirs is. well its was. And we pay far higher wages. Now will that do? FFS
He's made stupid mistakes with his squad assembling this pre-season. Leaving out and realising players whilst keeping sh*t ones. He'll now have to live by those decisions but there's still every chance it will all come good. Hopefully we've gotten our freak result out of the way.
