In fairness you've gotta sort yourself - and them lot - out ffs.

How could the best side we've had for years choke so miserably at home against ordinary opposition?

There's no doubt there's ample premier league quality there among individuals - but what happened to the idea of team?

Attitude going in was obviously all wrong. It left us mentally lacking to cope with reversing fortunes. Swagger don't work when you're 0-3 down at home does it?

A lot of our shortcomings were visible in the games against Persebaya, the Turkish side (forgot their name) and Augsberg. Sloppy passing and no cohesion. Nice for a while earlier in the game to see us moving forward in sufficient numbers and not having to park the bus. But there was no end product was there?

And what about that glaring hole in the left channel between midfield and defence? With a keeper as uncertain as Green, you can't afford such luxuries mate.

Need to get back to the drawing board in your laboratory and get back to basics I reckon. Very few sure things at this level.

He doesn't know how to manage a defense. That's about it. We saw it all last season and he didn't learn a thing.

He lost a large section of the support I'm afraid. It's going to be a long season as his limited reputation falls away.

As others have stated, those at the game really are owed an appology for that rubbish. TF and Amit looked less than happy.

MH looked like a rabbit in the headlights. Hard to watch.

I'd like to know what is going through TFs mind right now. How do you react when you think everything is good in the world when the reality is it's not? I'm still in complete shock. It's those results that come from left field that worry me more than anything.

    "against ordinary opposition"

That could be your problem. Arrogance and over confident against an underrated opposition more like. Allen wouldn't get into our new look midfield, whilst Chico and Michu have been doing the business in La Liga for a while.

The lesson? You don't have to splosh the dosh to get talent. Fernandes knows that now.

Everyone thought we were Rodgers. Us fans knew otherwise, and now so do you. <ok>

Hughes, his staff and all the players have seen "the project". They are all very positive and want to be part of it. However, they need to be reminded that they have been brought in to make it happen ON the pitch. There are no free rides. Sort it.

0-5 at home after all the pre-season optimism we've enjoyed, bound to affect the climate mate! Weather forecast on here for the next few days? Stormy to say the least! Brollies out. It's raining cats and yappies!!

Yes, I agree. But, at the same time, the Swans defended well, they blocked so many of our shots.

We looked very solidly defensively at the end of last season Yappy so can't agree, although it definitely looks like we've taken steps backwards since then. I'm not sure preseason was used effectively to gell the players. If was baffling that we didn't play a full strength side for the whole 90 mins in our final friendly Vs Augsburg. Doesn't help with the gelling that diakite has been out for so long for whatever reason.

Admit to never having had any time for Hughes but today was seriously bad. Green was a huge gamble and a mistaken one as we now see. The signs were there but a few good saves seem to have blinded us to reality, he has history.

Selling Helgusson may well be shown to be a mistake, let's not make the same one with Barton.

You are probably right. We were probably bit arrogant and underestimate your side and well played Swansea side teach us a gigantic lesson. Swansea were miles better defensivily and their scoring rate was murdereous. After your 2-0 goal QPR was in shock and the rest was easy for Swansea. Still i am sure that the differnce between those two teams are not that big what we saw today. Sometimes those things just happens and QPR will come back that is sure. Congrats to all swan-fans your team was great today but more of it was because our ridicolous defence and goalkeeper.

Understood bringing our new holding mid (SWP) on to try to plug that infernal gap in our right-sided channel (their left, to cover what I said earlier). That's Barton or Derry's spot isn't it... ?

But for the life of me, can't understand how replacing a CD with him was going to resolve matters - and it didn't. Simply compounded the problem imho.
