That turned out to be a decent start but a bit more may be needed at the Amex on Tuesday night. Especially in terms of attacking threat. Thought that the Terriers will set up like most teams that visit the CCS this season, well organised and hard to break down. Ultimately designed to frustrate. Brighton will be far more attacking, which may work to our advantage, but Marshall will have to be at his best again to deny the attacking elements of Poyets team. Irish wasted no time in signalling his challenge securing an opening day CS as he sets off in search of matching his Golden Boot record from last season. Dom continues his promotion form as well as BLUEBIRDS picking up 3 points as well. Siam lurks behind the first day leaders thanks to Hudson. Day of the début in Divison 2 as Bluebanna and Red Bluebird lead the table. Another newbee Steveoldinho and recently relegated GhostofNinian both benefitted from Hudsons goal. A large number of CR in both divisions but the win was not quite as large as many expected. A new record of 43 predictions made for yesterday game. Well done! 1-0 City Gunnarson I'll keep this up for a while. Changes in Rules To make the league more interesting you now need to predict the Cardiff Goal Scorers to match your prediction as well. The Correct Scores and Correct Results stay the same as last year. Scoreline CS = 3 pts CR = 1 pts Scorers You get a point for every correct scorers you predict to a maximum of 3. You get an extra point if you predict an exact situation, both scorers and scoreline. So you can now claim a max of 7 points by guessing a 3 -0 scoreline and all Cardiff scorers right. You can predict the same scorer twice. If you get a 0-0 right you get four points.
Not a good record at Brighton so i say ...... City 2 Brighton 1 Bellars and Whits .......;O) smash n grab
How this prediction league is playing with my head....I had predicted 0-0 and found myself praying that no-one scored as it entered the last few minutes, just to secure four points. How weird is that? Brighton 0 Cardiff 0
After last night's nervy stuff, this game could be a lot different. Brighton will come on to the ball rather than marking men and give our midfield more room - we just gotta use it with the skill in the side. I think we'll play a different game and win it. Whitts will be further forward, athough I can see us starting with only one man up front, probably Heidi. Love to see Mason in there as well though. Brighton 0-2 City for me with Mutch and Gunnar coming through from midfield to get 'em.
