I'd like that team rather than having Koren out wide. We never get the best out of Koren on the wing and it's disappointing to watch. Would like to see Simpson have another crack of the whip and see whether he's found his goalscoring boots. The defence looks solid as per usual.

COME ON CITY! LET'S WIN OUR OPENING GAME! UTT!

May I petition this board with the suggestion that if the performance isn't amazing today, or if the result doesn't go our way, that we don't explode into a frenzy of negativity and criticism?

Very much a 'work in progress' right now, we won't see what Bruce's City is all about until the close of the window and with more games under our belt. Not to mention unavailable players coming back into contention.

I'd be delighted if we just sneaked it, as much as if we smashed it.

    For me
    Amos
    Rosy Chester Faye Dudgeon
    Stewart Evans/Oli TC Koren
    Prozzy Mclean

Stewart needs to be on the RM to get at Wayne Bridge.

Surely the match thread should wait until the team is announced?

Agreed, but, good luck with this! I'd be happier if the KC was a cauldron of Hull City supporting noise and no booing when someone has a bad touch, to give the players the idea the fans are actually supporting the team and not just out for a 90 min whinge. That's not gonna happen either sadly.

I'm going for 4-0 to us btw.

    Brilliant news about Aluko.

Hopefully we will have Aluko and Stewart on the wings, with Koren in the middle.

Now that Aluko is available I expect:

    Amos
    Rosenior Faye Chester Dudgeon
    Aluko McKenna Koren Stewart
    McLean Proschwitz

Jakupovic, McShane, Bruce, Evans, Cairney, Devitt, Simpson.

    That's if Evans is fit?

I think that lineup highlights our need for a new winger (or maybe even 2, the 2nd on loan).

    That's what i'd go for.

I'm not sure whether Bruce fancies Evans instead of McKenna - but even if he is no longer injured, it is probably too soon for him to be starting.

If OJ doesn't get game time at some stage today then I will be truly lost for words.
