I actually (without expectations that it will all click immediately) think our squad presents a lot of new problems to the leagues teams who the majority of which had us pretty much figured out.

The questions we pose teams this year is what I'm looking forward too.

As well as we played at times last year and maybe my gut wasn't looking at facts but there was a old tired desperation to our football. I'm getting a young flashy vibe now.

Of course it could all go to hell in a handbag lol....

  3. I agree when looking at the individual attacking players we now have but will Rodgers utilise it to it's full potential...? In short, I am just as excited to see what Brendan does as I am the players / team <ok>

Yes! As much as the Swansea buggers were annoying I do want to see what "plan b" is.

Our problem for years has been unlocking a team that sits back. Arsenal, Swansea , the mighty Barca have all been faced with the same problem of how to get behind a team sitting in their 18 yard box.

I know we'll look beautiful against an open team with fast passing and even faster closing down but I want to see if we'll finally discover how to get behind the team that hasn't turned up to play football.

the kid looks good. two footed as well.<smile>

the team looks to be evolving into quick, tricky players who are fast on the break....

This is plan B... no wonder Swansea fans were obsessed with it... they just got screwed.

I think Rodders showed he had a plan B away to Gomel- formation changed after a poor first half- two holding midfielders helped change the tempo and possession. He showed in our very first competitive game that he IS watching and responding to a game... sure it was still possession based- but he made a strategic move and it worked.

IMO the front 3 with the players we have at the mo, I suspect the front 3 at the END of the season may be Assaidi Suarez Sterling, think Assaidi and Sterling could both become top,top players

Assaidi maybe but I don't think Sterling will be, not quite yet. Would be harsh on Borini too I think <ok>

He won't miss games. I played with some Ethiopian muslims in college and yes they fast but their bodies are adjusted to running on next to nothing. When sundown hits, they cram it all in and at 5 am , wake up and pray, nothing to eat until sundown again. I think no water either.

Ramadan isn't that bad for them but for outsiders it looks tough as ****!

Not 100% sure about the missing games in the next month, Ramadhan is close to ending now, it finishes on Saturday (Today) which is probably why Brendan thought he'd give him a chance to settle in.

Lets wait to see Assaidi play first. He is 7 years older than Sterling btw.

Crazy when you put it into that perspective, Assaidi is still considered as a young talent. Hope Sterling has many great years with us.

We have a simple solution to that.....Its called slowing the game down, and nobody slows a game down better than Charlie Adam and using the power of Andy Carroll. Its pretty simple really, get as many balls onto Andy Carrolls left peg and just let him shoot.
