Somethings not right...Van Persie I understand (good money, last year of contract)...but why are we now selling Song? He still has 2 years left on his contract...surely we should have the guts to keep him...? Unless he specifically went to Wenger and asked for a transfer...

Song just made the worst career decision, he will come to regret this. Don't get me wrong, Song is a quality player, and I wouldn't sell him. Having said that, he is not Barca quality, and I sure wouldn't be that nervous if we faced a Barca side with his name on the sheet.
Not Barca quality, but good enough for us..... Why does Barca keep doing this... they do not even need him, they have Busquet, Maschereno.... yet they come and take Song..... Song had a good season last year and had pretty much cemented a place in the first XI, not without his faults, but a solid player nonetheless. I can't even be arsed to get upset about this, if he doesn't want to play for us, show him the door, take the cash and concentrate on players who have some passion for the shirt

I've always rated him but you've got plenty in reserve- most of your CM's have come through the academy.
As much as people slate Wenger for saying 'he will be like a new signing', We do have Diaby and Wilshere coming back, so our MF will be boosted. A fit and on form Diaby is better than Song, but he needs to prove his fitness long term.
