I honestly cannot say one way or the other whether or not Bale dives to cheat, since with refs giving him no protection from potential leg-breaking tackles by thugs like Adam, I can understand why he might want to exaggerate the knocks and trips he gets. For Suarez, and especially Gerrard, however, there are absolutely no excuses. I've actually seen Gerrard "throw" his trailing leg out behind him in a desperate attempt to make the "foul" look as bad as possible. In one instance, you can clearly see from the video footage that the opposing player never touched him. Gerrard is an utter disgrace, and I cannot believe that you would want to defend him, Gaffe.
Bale dives too often for my liking, but as HIAG points out, he's booted all over the place on a regular basis and is rarely given enough protection. Charlie Adam's repeated attempts to cripple him are a case in point. One thing in Bale's favour is that he hasn't slammed others for doing the same thing, as far as I've seen. I'm sure that we're all aware of the famous Gerrard diving clip, but here it is again, anyway: For the next edition of his autobiography, he's going to criticise people who gang up on random blokes who won't let them change the music in bars. Allegedly...
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4481881/7-a-goal-City-best-value-for-footie-fan.html I borrowed the link from a thread on the Chav board. It makes for some very sober reading. 'Pool offers the worst value for money in the EPL, with the sole exception of the Spanners. Given that the Spanners have only just been promoted, I think we should discount them, which would put 'Pool at the bottom of the "value for money" list. Words fail me, sometimes.
What the table also says is our charging first team prices for our reserve/youth team games in the Europa League cost us a top six place!
Where did I defend Gerrard HIAG? I don't condone either his or Suarez's antics when they simulate. The same applies to Bale.
I know, I saw that! 10 years ago, if the 'Pool came in for any of our players, we'd have a real struggle to hold onto them, but not any more. 'Pool simply does not have the pulling power that it once did. Dawson and Caulker probably laughed as much as I did, when they read that headline.
Well unless one of the clubs comes out to say something about it then it's all a load of bollocks. I personally think Agger will stay anyway
