Alright guys I have just racked up Part 3 of my Npower Championship previews. Part 3 includes your side Hull City, so if you would be interested in reading I would be much appreciated. My articles usually get posted on newsnow, but for some reason they aren't so I thought I would post the link on the forums instead. http://leicester.footballblog.co.uk/npower-championship-preview-20122013-part-3.html Thanks guys
Leeds 6th? Are you mad? I'd fancy both Hull and Leicester to finish above Leeds. Leeds look much weaker than last season.
Fair views mate. I have seen some pundits predict Leeds United within the top two this season. I just think they will get top six, because Neil Warnock is in charge, love him or hate him he is a flaming good manager who usually gets the best out of his sides. They have lost probably their best player in Snodgrass, but losing Lonergan and replacing him with Paddy Kenny is excellent business, while Pearce and Norris are very strong signings aswell. Thanks the comment, I thought I would explain myself.
I'm not sure if you meant the title when you said the league may be too demanding for us but at first glance it was as you said we'd struggle every game. Also find it strange how you say well be challenging for top 6 but predict us to finish 11th, which rose tinted glasses aside would be a poor season IMO, we've added much needed quality and depth in key areas this summer which IMO is what was the difference between us finishing top 6 and 8th. Other than that it's a decent summary, nice to see you gave an unbiased view of your own team though.
Prehistoric Bob. Hull City are capable of a top six finish, not just fans of Hull will identify this, but the league is so tough and Hull fans know how hard this league can be. So many sides like yourselfs are all capable of 6 to 8th place and the teams I have marked around there, include Blackpool, Leeds, Leicester, Middlesbrough, Notts Forest and yourselfs. You try and put two of them sides in 6th, 7th and 8th place and I bet you have difficulty choosing an outcome. This season in my opinion will be the best yet, realistically 16 sides could get promotion that's how hard the league will be this season.
Us 11th, TWS 6th that's funny. Oh and about Warnock been a good manager? He's a ****ing idiot and hasn't got a clue.
Great summary of a lot of sides in that. I agree that we have a decent side on paper, and it all comes down to whether we can actually score goals on a regular basis. This League is as hard as I've seen it, and it's going to need sheer consistency to be up in the Promotion areas. I agree with the strange prediction for L**ds though, they are much weaker than last year, and Warnock's relationship with Bates is definitely not one for TWS fans to brag about. I think they're a Club on the downwards direction.
I agree it's a difficult league to predict this year, I think a dozen teams could stake a claim for the top 6 - though I think Leeds will be well outside the top 6. Top 6 could consist of any of the following Charlton, Wednesday, Cardiff, Hudds, Hull, Blackpool, Bolton, Blackburn, Wolves, Middlesbrough, Leicester. All these teams I think are capable of the top 6 - Although we'll have a better idea after 10-12 games as the table starts to take shape.
he's had 7 promotions including two out of this season, most recently in 2011. let's hope sb is as clueless.
He won promotions with two teams (Sheff Utd & QPR) who where well within their means of been promoted, my wife could of guided them to promotion. Lets see how he does with TWS this season, they will be lucky to finish in the top half.
I don't understand. We've arguably traded in for a better manager. We haven't lost any players. We've added in key departments. Everything you wrote was positive. But then... Prediction: 11th. I know it's your opinion and all, but it doesn't really make much sense. I'm not demanding you write we will finish 2nd, etc. But how are we going to fall back three places from last season when our squad has improved? :/
The strength of the league has improved with the promoted and relegated teams. Some of the existing teams (like Cardiff) have more money to throw about this season. I think it'll be tough, but top 8 should be a minimum.
Well, the league is at the same time tougher than ever. I reckon we'll be top 6 though Just had a bet on it in fact, together with Newcastle to win the league without Manc, Manu, Pool. Totten, Chelsea, Ars, 4,5 in odds :O 4,00 on City to be in the top 6, not sure what kind of fractions odds you write, but you do the math
I wouldn't deny the teams going down/coming up strengthen the league etc. And existing sides have improved, yes. But so have we. Our biggest problem this year may be the amount of Yorkshire Derbies we are going to play. We always seem to struggle in those and play several against Leeds, Barnsley, Huddersfield, Sheffield Wednesday, Middlesbrough (I guess, technically), etc.
If you had come on here last season and said we would finish eleventh. I would have though. Fair enough.... However I think you are well off the mark this season. We will be right up there challenging for promotion this season and I would be very disappointed if we did not make 6th place.
Challenging for 6th but finish 11th, it's going to be tight again, maybe 6 points between 6th & 11th!
F*ck me, that's brilliant! The season doesn't kick-off for another 5-and-a-half hours, and he's already been promoted twice!
