he is back, and braver than ever with his bold predictions:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19286099

He has gone for a brave Newcastle 1-1 Tottenham. who could have predicted he would have predicted that, on his predictor website of predictions, where he only ever predicts 1-1 or 2-0. sometimes a 1-0 if you're lucky.

I am going for 3-1 toon. there I am starting to get my black and white goggles on ready for Saturday.

obvs he gives more time to Spurs, however has flat out predicted a 5th or 6th finish for us?!!????????

Newcastle have made one or two interesting acquisitions like Vurnon Anita from Ajax, and I see this game as a battle between teams who will probably finish fifth and sixth.

Tottenham are more likely to challenge for the top four than Newcastle, but ultimately I don't think they will get there.

Under Andre Villas-Boas, Spurs are very much a team still under construction - they are waiting for Luka Modric to leave so they can bring a couple more players in.

Villas-Boas was a bit unlucky at Chelsea. What he was doing was a project, as he kept telling us, but the guy in charge basically abandoned it prematurely because they were losing games.

Experience is usually something you get when you learn from things not going right, so Villas Boas will have learned a lot from his time at Stamford Bridge and, ultimately, I think he will be a success at Spurs.

Woeful Lawro, how on earth can a miserable ugly sod like him get on TV never mind get paid for being on. Still lives in the Liverpool glory days.

This! Really can't stand him, his droning monotone voice, or his perpetual expectation that it will be Liverpool's season.

Him and Hansen should be on regional TV, not national TV.

I've not even read the content of this thread, but I already love it...I'm gunna go read it now, I'll be back!

Right, well 2 things, as others have said - he predicted 5th or 6th? Wow! I was semi expecting him to still try and predict Wolves to finish above us...Secondly, predicting a Liverpool draw?

Honestly, I like reading his predictions as I can scoff at them, but I'm glad theres no accompanying voice overs as he sounds like someone pinching their nose speaking into a moving fan blade!

I know longer dislike Lawro, numpty though he may be sometimes, purely for that sly public roasting he gave Michael Owen that time.

1-1 sounds fair enough but if we have a fit midfield I can't see a club with one senior striker on their books beating us. 1-0 Toon.

Didn't Lawro slip in a few bad taste racist gags during the euros? Or did I dream this?
