According to the official NCFC twitter account we are announcing a new signing tonight. I bet my mortgage its going to be Garrido.
Really pleased. Much needed competition for the left back spot. Not sure who will be first choice, but I'm guessing that Garrido may need a little time to be match sharp. Roll on Saturday. Can't wait.
I might be wrong, but I think there is only a limit to loans from other English teams? I might have it wrong though.
Certainly one of the places needed to be filled and shoould provide excellent competition for Tierney. Just need a DM and to keep Morison and possibly Vaughan.
happy with this, purely based on man city fans thoughts on the guy - not heard a single bad word said about the lad from what they say, tierney might have his work cut out to keep his place.
A week ago, I never thought anyone would have said that. I thought we were going to get a left back but I see this as a bit of a coup.
ha, yeah! i thought we'd loan a youngster at left back, maybe robinson from liverpool! this is a bit different...
I would like to see: Garrido (L), Bridcutt, Rhodes and Guidetti (L) IN Vaughan, Morrison and Martin OUT Regrettable yes that we should have to sell Morro, but he ain't exactly been scoring in the latter part of the season plus JV is a bloody injury liability, and while fit atm, who knows how long that lasts. With the above, we would still have Holt, Jackson plus Rhodes, Guidetti plus Snodgrass as Winger. In addition, we solve our LB conundrum (actually already done - great work CH) and our DM condundrum. It may be painful for some of you to stomach but this would be in the best interests of our club, we would offload a player who is almost certain to be unavailable sometime soon through injury and another who has only scored 9 goals last season (yes its the PL but still we can improve, and I would expect Snodgrass to score 9+ this season, thereby negating that loss). The 2 single biggest problems last season were a lack of a proper DM to shield our defence, hence we conceeded bucketloads (solved by Bridcutt) and a lack of competition in LB (resulting in Drury, a seasoned veteran, playing most of the 2nd half of the season, interspersed with Naughton on the wrong side). Having Tierney and Garrido both available is brilliant news.
Because its my opinion and I won't change it that Morrison is a lazy bastard and should be sold (half joking...stems from his lack of goals towards the 2nd half of the season) And because just like a few others on here, I have been a fan of JR for a while, and honestly believe he has it in him to be a top Premier League striker.
