Heard this same rumour many many times now (I know all these rumours are usually bollocks), I do have a source close to the swans (a family member of someone within the club who isn't a player)but this isnt from him.
Apparently we are already attempting to buy Laudrup out of his contract as they players do not like his training methods and man management (big bust up with ash, who stormed off during a session).
I am attempting to get some info off my source but as of yet no straight answer!

Can't see it. I think it's not going away because it keeps getting repeated. This rumour was started on Twitter a couple of weeks back and is getting repeated as fact by all and sundry. You don't cancel a contract because players don't like training methods. Where does that leave the new signings who came here because they wanted to work with him?

    All bollocks I think.

Yeah I can't see it myself, but it's always concerning when things just won't go away, but who cares! Season ticket is here, talk of even more signings, first home game lets show the new boys what fortress liberty is like when it's rocking!

I heard the very same thing back in July two weeks after appointing ML, I said then I thought it was nothing as ML had only just meet the players.

If there is friction between player and management then they need to grow up and be more professional. The players need to roll with what's being taught them, after all ML has won more than our team put together. Time will tell if his methods are correct or not, I hate to think now that were a PL team our players have all turned out to be prima donnas, if they have then god help us!!!

If the club did want to cancel his contract what sort of message does that send out to the footballing world, all because the players are opposed to adapting to change. Player power don't you just hate it!!! Sounds to me they've had it on easy street for too long under Rodgers. Perhaps ML could not see that we weren't fit enough, hence the training method changes!

I would like to thing that our players are capable of acting like the capable, motivated, highly paid, professional atheletes that they are as opposed to petulant children.

If this is true, and word of this got out not only would the players involved never be wanted nor signed by another club, but no manager with any street credit would come within a million miles of ever applying for the vacancy. If this has happened the most likely result is the player is internally recalibrated or released.

Ok i dont think we are in a position that ML will quit or that we are likely to buy his contract out. what has happened is ML has training methods that some not all of the players don't like but to me they get well paid to do as they are told because its ML who gets the sack and not the players. Yes i know about a major bust up with ash but again ash is in the wrong. the players must listen to ML as he is the manager regardless what personal feelings he has. we and the players should give ML full support. the season has not kicked off yet ffs....

Well... Ash was pretty rubbish against Stuttgart and ditto last night in the Wales game. So if it is all getting to him, he should wise up and extract the digit. He's getting paid a fortune and he's playing for the club we all love. How hard can it be???

Agree with this 100% why are players basically jumping through hoops to sign for laudrup if he is such a **** ?? de guzman and hernandez have worked with him before.

A few weeks ago it was Monk that Stormed off in training, now its Ash !! nobody knows the in's and outs of course but my take on it is that he has put a few noses out of joint and upset a few of the older heads, they have probably been told they wont be part of his plans and therefore letting slip a few bits of bollocks to fans when out on the piss etc, etc.

Basically there are probably a few crying for Brendens loving touch and they need a slap and a reminder that they are getting paid thousands of pounds a week for a few hours work, if they dont like him, tough **** !! so far his transfers have looked good,he has spoken plenty of sense and has forgotten more than the players will ever know about football, he will need time to mould the team, he will also need the support of the fans, all this twatter stuff that keeps getting thrown up is 99% bullshit, we as supporters need to give our full backing to the manager, and that probably means damping down harmful rumours that come from social networking sites!!

I cant blame you for posting this, its of intrest to us all and is meant genuinely but we can sometimes be fanning the flames when we pick up on these stories. <ok>

The problem is that I've heard similar stories and I doubt that my "sources" are the same as Tycoch's.

Okay, let's assume there is some credibility to all this (we can't ever be certain but smoke and fires and all that), might this be Ash preparing the way for his exit? I know this sounds like a conspiracy theory but we all know that Rodgers wouldn't dare come in openly for another Swansea player. Could be Ash knows that if he shows that he is unsettled by Laudrup's methods, and it is affecting his game and the morale of the other players, then the club would surely rather move him on than the manager. It would be far easier to move out a player, given the massive disruption replacing the manager would be with the season upon us. Plus, as has been pointed out, what of the new and prospective signings if Laudrup goes? So, we have a disgruntled player who wants to leave and, lo and behold, step forward the Blarney Man who "might" be interested.

Sounds fanciful, I know, but I would believe anything of Rodgers after what he has done and let's not kid ourselves that this sort of thing doesn't go on. To add fuel, I would guess that certain players would be pretty green-eyed at the deal Joe has got, particularly those certain players of a certain age who might feel that time is running out for getting themselves a mega-bucks contract.

I sincerely hope that this is all a load of b******s and I have to say that I have spoken to no one who could give me a definitive answer as to what is going on. Tempers will fray in training, I have seen it watching the Swans train when I thought Pintado was going to chin Marcos Paynter. It just might be some handbags that has been distorted and exaggerated out of all proportion. Let's hope that it is just that.

Ivor, you make a lot of sense there. Nothing would surprise me anymore with football players, they can be a manipulating bunch. As you say how many player have kicked up a fuss with a new manager so he can get a move, so there may be something in Ash deliberately creating unrest to get a move.

there is credibility ivor ...i mentioned it two weeks ago....its a clash of personalities and to be honest ash needs to realize who is the manager and who is the player. ML keeps a tight reign on his players where Brendan would allow a player time off for their charity work......Ash is not happy with that.....and that is what the bust up is about...

Ivor I don't know if I've said this before but I always enjoy your posts they are well thought out and written. I think if I had to pick a voice of reason on this board I'd have to go for you. Excellent post and you may well right with your conclusions. What may put a spoke in the wheel is the fact that Agger has said he's now staying at Liverpool and maybe now Brendan Blarney won't want him

Ivor ... I was just thinking along similar lines earlier today, but I was thinking that if the player involved wanted out but didn't have a release clause in his contract or it was set too high for the market, the best way to get released is to "walk of the reservation" like this. If you and your agent know that somebody familiar might just be itching to throw a contract your way and blarney away all the negatives to take you on board ...... Nah could never happen!

Thinks are getting very interesting. Just the sort of pressure we need to keep everybody on their toes and if the kid's really up to it a replacement for Monk or Tate.

We're spending upwards of £6-7m on players that Laudrup wants and negotiating to buy out his contract at the same time.

    FFS...
