    Book?

The word Algenon is racking my brain? there is a gas reference there and I cant for the life of me remember what it is.

Pirate 49 was very good at undercover gas? and he did it on the old 606, I have never read this bloke say anything positive ever and he has never denied being gas despite me accusing him loads of times..

I just cant get rid of that smell?

Banksy, the book was called Flowers for Algernon (see under) - I read it as a kid and it made a real impact on me, read it and see. The film in 2000 was a pretty decent stab at it as well...

    It's pre-season war in 82 land! :emoticon-0146-punch

Bloody hell, the league campaign hasn't even kicked off yet and you're at each other's throats, accusing each other of being Gasheads (which is not, I hasten to add, a bad thing!) So angry! <laugh>

Maybe worth having this row 10 games into your season, instead of now....?

I think a lot of fans are annoyed, not just because we lost to a team we consider inferior, but because we haven't had anything close to a cup run for a long time.

As McInnes has noted, the club loses out on money when we get knocked out at such an early stage and the best thing to get the fans back at Ashton Gate is to secure some big-name clubs playing at the ground. A good run in the COC or the FA Cup could bring Premier League opposition to our doorstep and a decent amount of money to land new players.

Most importantly, we need to have a good go at winning something. We're nowhere near playoff material so the cup was our best shot at feeling good about ourselves. Instead, we've destroyed what little optimism many fans had before the season. A win at Forest will change everything and the cup is no indication of league form, but it'd be stupid to say that this means nothing.

'I think a lot of fans are annoyed'
because we can sign right backs or flaming wingers but inept at signing the positions we really need.
