The same midfield managed to help the wingers supply a large part of our 89 league goals last season and its fair to say the players they will be passing the ball to are now even better In defensive terms, 1 club.......1 club had a better defence than us and ours was a make shift one for the majority of the season. 89 for 33 against. Add to that Kagawa & RVP plus the return of Vidic to the defence and well, it says it all really.
Kagawa will go some way to addressing creative issues in midfield though somewhat higher up the field, scholes can still create better than most even at his age ( though he wont play so much due to his age ). For the record, I have put whatever hes called on ignore and would like to apologise to any fan of any club I have called an idiot. I take it all back. I wont share the reason, its pretty obvious
Glad someone else noticed Silva vanished last season. Kompany and Toure were the 2 best players, the reason City won the league and the difference between us and them. Cant help but feel had Vidic and Fletcher been available it would of ended a different way but the best way to put the record straight is to reclaim the title this season.
I think it's fair to say games are won and lost in midfield and anyone who claims different is either stupid or UIR (Sorry, same thing). It's a blinkered ideology if you think by getting the ball out to the wide men you will win the game. You need a strong tackling midfielder who knows how to read a game. Having watched Cleverly in past games, I don't think he's the guy to do this. Carrick, well least said about him because everytime someone puts a valid counter arguement, **** for brainsd recites the fact that he played for England last night...Mainly becasue half of the first team pulled out. FFS, even I could have got in the team last night! Midfield is where it's at and Utd certainly don't have a match winning midfielder!
Thanks to a huge squad depth they can replace anyone whos not playing well. Man utd plodded on with the same old faces regardless of form lol
