I've been on other forums and there is a lot of upset people on them. They are saying stuff like ''Wake up Fergie, smell the ****ing daisys, we need full-backs not another ****ing striker''.

Even a Utd fan as blind as you has to admit the Midfield is piss poor, the 'keeper is joke and Ferdinand is way past it. They can rescue this by signing a World Class midfielder though... but they wont.

You beat me to it chief. I was just about to say they hadn't signed one of the worlds best strikers...they signed Robin Van Persie. Like Rooney, he's a very good premiership striker. Worlds best again like Rooney, sorry..nope.

He was the best striker in the word to my knowledge and opinion last season, that's where it ends though there are questions now, will he be able to maintain that level? If yes then Utd have a top player. Can he stay injury free? Same answer.

As much as I think this is a good signing for Utd they are still in dire need of a midfielder and won't win the league without one. IMO of course.

Both remind me of a china doll. Pretty valuable when in one piece, but if they break, they as much use as a condom in a convent.

Current form?? the season hasn't started yet!! If you want to go back to his last games he had a shocking Euros!

    midfield really isnt an issue.

We dont set up to make the midfield the key to our game plan, its very simple. Get the ball to the wingers and they will create. Its an old school method but one that works and one season when a club who spent a billion in 3 seasons to win the title wont change Fergies mind.

Didnt one of our potential midfielder partnerships play for england last night?

Since 2007 RVP and Rooney lead the PL scorers charts according to sky sports.

    Rooney is ahead.

What happens when the supply is cut off to your wingers and you are made play through the middle? C'mon be honest, Manchester United don't have a strong central midfield, Scholes and Giggs are old and Carrick and Anderson are ****.

I know what you mean, but not having that quality in there will make a difference throughout the season. Carrick will do a job holding and giving simple balls but surely you need someone creative in there? As much as you will do well this season (you always bloody do!) I still think that a class midfielder will be the difference between you getting ahead of City.

    Into 2nd place behind us.

You mean Carrick who looked completely out of his depth??

Football is won and lost in midfield. For me, nobody can compete with Man City whilst they have Silva and Yaya who are the best players in the EPL without a doubt.

Carrick is an interesting player, he used to be good but hasn't been good for a few years now. Fletcher is terrible.

Why does Fergie hang onto bad player for so long?? Is it a pride thing?

Silva was terrible in the 2nd half of the season. Can't argue with Toure though he was very good.
