A genuine good luck message for you QPR fans from me I think, although there have been quite a number of changes to the squad once again, your team does appear to be stronger (on paper at least) and I genuinely believe mid table is close to nailed on for you. As for us, I fear the worst but then I am normally pessimistic anyway.
If you beat us at Carrow Road (going on history), we are going to need more than a little luck to survive this time. Not being funny but even when QPR were at their best, for some reason they rarely took much away from us on their travels.
Cheers Thai, best of luck. I think you boys will be in a scrap this time round but ultimately you'll survive.
Doesn't bother me, I have been watching City far too long to worry about a minor inconvenience like relegation . Yes it still hurts a little but thankfully I don't get wound up over it. My only hope is at least 3 teams will be below us on the final whistle on the last day and I couldn't care less who those 3 teams are
Cheers Thai - you're always a welcome visitor over here! I recon you're right about us, and wrong about yourselves. I'm hoping for 11th to 15th for ourselves, and I think with Houton you'll find yourselves 1 or 2 places either side of us - either way, I recon you'll be allright.
Hope Norwich stay up and stick two fingers up to the money boys including us... We are on a road now and in for some mighty changes we will have to adapt to. I am hoping your new manager does well and Lambert fails as it was your club as a whole that completed a very impressive double promotion and then finished well in your first season ... That in anyone books is impressive .
Cheers TC, I think you are right re us taking points off you. I've always seen Norwich as a bogie team for us - perhaps that's why some posters in here are so anti Norwich. Good luck to you guys too.
Why the pessimism about your own prospects Thai; you haven't lost anybody significant (apart from Lambert)and have made as far as I know a few modest signings. Do you feel that your team from last season now under Hughton is not strong enough to survive? I think you'll be ok
I think we may have strengthened overall but perhaps not by a huge amount. Still lightweight up front if Holt gets crocked and Morison doesn't pull his finger out a bit more often. Midfield looks okay and there are lots of options so we should be able to mix it up a bit where needed. Defence - well, we have an experienced PL CB at last but I am not sure it is going to be enough to prevent the leaking of goals in just about every game (as was the case last season - just 2 clean sheets!) It is possible we could emulate last season but I am not expecting it. I could be persuaded to change my mind in December if we are in the top half mind.
Cheers Thai, proper supporter...want the best for your own team, but not dis real supporters of other teams I hope/think we will survive...think the same for you. Reading, Wigan, West Brom/Swansea for me. I like your comment re relegation...I always thought the same...going down gave us a chance of going up in glory This time TF has given us the glimpse of possibly more...i am being stupid here
Not at all stupid Beth, TF has given you something your club has never really had (certainly not in the last 15 years or so) - hope. He has ambitious plans for sure and just as you are, the footballing world is waiting to see if he can deliver what he hopes to deliver. For me the jury is still out on this subject and I remain open minded as to whether or not he will succeed.
Your right why do you think alot of us dislike like you lot so much, still sticks in my throat that you beat us one match away before winning the league. Having said that, thanks for your good luck message and good luck to you guys as well I think this will be a tough one for you without Lambert and I really think we will get something this season.
Rarely yes but we have won at Carrow Road. Devon WHITE WHITE WHITE. Was it 2 or 3 he scored, I can't remember but I was there and that wasn't when we were at our best.
I agree with all of this (except about Lambert failing - moving Clubs is just business). I think they've got the perfect replacement in Chrissy Hughton. I do agree with Thai that it might be a bit of a slog for them this year but they'll consolidate in the end.
