Tbf considering I didnt actually quote anyone and made a statement rather than responding to anyone I didnt imply anyone in here had. I implied he had been called ****. Whether that meant in here or in general is down to how much of an issue it is to each of you. For most I suspect it is of little to no importance. For others its changed their entire outlook in life or at least it seems that way. Not entirely serious, incase its taken as such
I deifinitely hope you don't - For the reasons i put forward! Anyways to conclude. I reckon your attack is better than it was, no doubt, until Van Persie gets injured for 3 months! And i think Kagawa is going to be awesome, i know he's unproven in the Premier League, but i just have a feeling. Also reckon that Hernandez might be getting slightly peeved with the way the last 12months have gone.
Fair enough. Its just debate, and it shouldn't be taken serious. We can have the craic and the banter without it getting anyway heated.
Maybe, Kagawa will help us create even more imo. What sort of midfeilder do we need, tough, creative, battling? Box to box? How would each fit in considering the wide players and Kagawa being our creative players. Can we have too many creative players? Our basic game plan is to get the ball to the wingers so what would a creative midfielder add? A battling midfielder? Well we have fletcher and I dont think its the time to sign his replacement just yet so thats a bit of a none starter. Its not as simple as we need a midfielder really.
RVP is a wonderful player. Hell, he single-handedly won them 3 points at Anfield last season when they should have been beaten 5-2. At United he'll get more rest than at Arsenal and will, I suspect, be less prone to injury. He'll probably play alternatively to Rooney, giving them both rest. A great buy, even at 29. BUT, I feared them getting Modric or Sjneider, which would have been worse, imho.
We'll be alright.... Alot depends on Fletcher's fitness... I know he just played, but how much he's going to play.. We really don't know. If Fletcher isn't going to play, I'd bring in Keita on the cheap, and send Powell on loan to Wigan or someone... But, we probably wont be buying one... We'll be fine though... It's not as big an issue in the league as people make out. And our enhanced attack should scare teams deeper. I just really think this season is soooo important for the future of the very top of English football...
I think you would be right to send Powell out on loan. He's too good for Uniteds reserves, not good enough for the first team..yet, because the highest standard he's played at is league 1. Even a year in the championship with a good footballing side would do him the world of good. If he stands out in the championship, bring him back.
If you got Keita on the cheap, that would mean Song is going to Barca, which would mean Arsenal are in the **** again.
--------RVP-------- -----Rooney------- Nani---------Valencia ----Kagawa-Carrick--- Evra-Vidic-Rio-Rafael -----De Gea------- Our team against the weaker teams at old trafford haha. 9-0 Even an attack of ----------RVP------- --------Rooney----- Kagawa-Rooney-Nani Nani----Kagawa-Valencia with 2 CM's
See, they look good... But (for the first team sheet) assuming Fletcher isn't fit enough... I think we need to have two specialist defensive midfielders... Carrick is one... But we'd need another. A game like City or Liverpool requires it. Not to mention Europe. I'm not sure if Kagawa alongside Carrick would work.. Kagawa's best work is in the final third... And he's a free-roaming player... Don't want to restrict his game... And he just isn't an out-an-out (two-man) centre midfielder. Scholes and Carrick or Carrick and Cleverley or Ando will always work easily at home against Bolton or someone... But it's the tougher games where two specialist (and willing) holders with presence are important. And doesn't need to be costly.
----------RVP------- --------Rooney----- Kagawa-Rooney-Nani Nani----Kagawa-Valencia I honestly think buying RVP will give Rooney a rest rather than make him play in two positions at once. Just kidding feller......
we have midfielders did'nt you see them tonight .playing for england.you wont have seen kigawa playing for japan neither then.lol
My honest opinion... RVP is a top player, he is not world class as to me world class to me means you would make a world team so therefore he would have to be in the top two or three strikers in the world, Ronaldo, Messi and Aguero are all better IMO. However, I do think he would have a shout at making a world squad. In short, there is no doubting his ability and you wouldn't get anything better for £24m However. He is 29 years old and has a injury record as bad as our own Danny Agger. A fee of £24m plus £200k per week wages for four years is a £65.6m package with very little prospect of a re-sale value. that is a lot of money for a player that might play less than twenty games a season. In short, it is a big gamble IMO There isn't much doubt that RVP is a better option than Welbeck and/or Hernandez, but I don't see him getting a lot more goals than those pair given the same roles, maybe half a dozen. Is that worth £65.6m...? IMO, no it isn't. I also think the Hernandez link is a fair comparison to RVP as they are both goalscorers but IMO, Welbeck as a better all round game and provides the side with flexibility and movement when alongside Rooney, isn't this the reason Welbeck was being picked ahead of Berbatov...? I think putting RVP in the side make the Man Utd first team a little more rigid and possibly more predictable, a bit like when they had RVN. They will have a focal point that sits up top and rarely ventures too far away. Will this suit the others such as Rooney, Nani, Valencia and Young who all like to move and inter-change? Only time will tell. Will Fergie change the system and play Rooney in the hole in a 4231 / 4411 type system? Maybe a 433 with Rooney in the midfield three, Cleverley and Kagawawa (sp) behind him? I can't see Rooney moving out wide with the wingers they have. Edit: One thing I am certain of, Rooney AND RVP will be playing when available! Cleverley returning from injury is a major boost for Man Utd and is like a new signing on its own, same goes with Vidic (a bit like us with Lucas). Kagawawa (sp) and RVP certainly strengthen the squad, if they were to get Baines too (unlikely now Rodwell's move to Man City) then they would surely have to be considered to be extremely strong domestic and european title challengers? Still think they could do with a bit of steal in the middle though.
