'knob jockey'? Nice Not sure where I have abused you yet, but ta. Official - Please? Don't make me laugh.
Who the hell sells the leagues top scorer to their competition? Are you* all to young or stupid to remember Leeds selling Cantona to the scum? You might look at the bright side, and to be honest, I don't blame you, but a psychological bomb has just gone off in your squad.. You have just sold your best player, the fact that you made stupid money for an old injury liability is a distant second to the fact that you sold your best player to the opposition. Stupidity like that should be criminal. * Your club, not you personally, again...
He's right though, we have stated our intent at being happy to be inferior to United, by selling our best player to a rival. I wanted to sell him, but not to United, anyone but United.
In the end it did not work out the way we wanted it to. Juve's attempts to get him was piss poor and no other foreign club showed any interest. As Fergie said we tried to get rid of that **** to a non-English club. United had all the cards and our board would have never let RVP leave for free. In the end it was let him go for free or sell to United.
you may be right about united not winning the prem this year .........but we will win it again before you lot.ah ahahahahahahahah.
Maybe, Wenger was not ****ing about this summer. It's clear from reading these articles, that RVP and his people made their intentions clear in that meeting they had at Wenger's house. So, Wenger planned for life after RVP from that date on.
But the fact he was willing to sell him to united shows that his judgement isn't what it used to be, unless he's expecting van p£rsie to get injured immediately.
Yes agree 100%. We now need to bring in another TOP player to improve the squad, improve moral and appease the fans.
Well that just shows that he has lost that hate he had for them. And after not being real rivals with them for years, that is not hard to understand. The idea of Wenger and Fegie speaking to each other on a phone about something like this ten years ago would have been unthinkable.
No, i'm just pissed off that wenger allowed this to happen, and moreso, if you believe the Ornstein Story, actually wanted this to happen.
As much as selling to Manchester United disgusts me, I think Wenger was being pragmatic. No way the board was going to let him go for free, and sadly, no foreign club wanted him enough. What should he have done? Stuck his head in the sand and continued to build the team around a player who was obviously on the way out? (Please don't take this as condoning selling him to United. However, I don't think the blame lies with the manager). Now's the time to look to the future. Personally,I'm worried that if they don't sign another quality striker, then the the club could be in for a bumpy ride, both from the fans and in the league.
