Current sales of season ticket sales are down,to date sales are under 9300,yes under 9300,other years we would be talking 12/13000,this is a big drop..

After last years survival, clearance of all the deadwood, the development of a new squad and all of the confidences expressed I thought our crowds would be bigger, something is not working and people are not bothering,I know the Euro's,the Olympics, the holidays are to blame,it's a nonsense, people are not fools..

    Suit's take notice and ACT......

Let's be honest, value is very relative in football. Last season, despite only paying 240 odd quid, I didn't get great value. Still renewed for this season but I can understand why people haven't, last season was rough.

First year in 8 I don't have one. Being at uni lead to a bit of a catch-22 this year, I can only regularly work at weekends due to my timetable and this year I wasn't U21 so it went up to like £400 odd quid for my old seat in the Dolman when frankly I have more important things to spend that kind of money on like rent etc..

Looking forward to getting back into playing regularly too.

I haven't renewed due to work commitments (I'm out of the UK quite alot) which would mean it's just not worth renewing. If I managed to get a job without the constant travel I would get one undoubtedly.

Wiz, the last 3 seasons have taken their toll, people have had enough of watching drab, unexciting football and the trials and tribulations of last season were the last straw...

The majority of us on here are positive about the new management team however there are some who have made it clear on here that they anticipate another season of struggle and probably haven't renewed based on this fear and the lack of the signing of a commanding centre half..

These people will take a bit more than a few good games to persuade them that things are changing down the Gate and sadly, last night's performance did nothing to help this. We finished last season 8 league games unbeaten and we need a good start, playing decent football to convince the disillusioned to return and start believing again..

That said, I don't think that last season got much over 10k from memory but this could be faulty....

Got ours first few days when on sale.

Disappointed with overall sales but the way they have the pricing structure this year on gate prices, don't think we will have too much of problem achieving a good crowd.

Prem is spot on, plus there have been no exciting signings to convince people to part with their hard earned money. C'mon Lansdown put yer hand in yer pocket !

I bought a season ticket before last season ended. End of this eason I will be thinking thoroughly if it is my last for a time. The dour football does not help that is what you get with city anyway but what has really annoyed me in the way the club is being run by the like of smith and price. Disullusioned by football in general. City always have an opportunity to be different at least SL got in front of fans face to face. This lot now dont want to know what fans think. There is balls up after balls up with testimonials, club kits, EE, open days and the directors are just invisble through it all. City are taking on the worst apsects of modern football. Dont balme anyone for saying bollocks to it I wont be mug any longer.

Season tickets sales down; Some of the reasons.

Last three years of relegation battles do nothing to inspire supporters.

Lack of new players this summer in the positions we know need filling. CB, Creative midfield, two strkers with pace and proven goal scoring ability at this level.

Change of kit from RED & WHITE to a horrible dirty colour somewhere between dark red and maroon with a lot of black. In mourning already!

The laughable saga of the new stadium - five years of nothing happening. We could have rebuilt the Williams and Wedlock in this time to give us at least a half tidy stadium with good corporate facilities. Instead we have a very tired ground mostly built between 40 and 80 years ago.

I love where I live now and the only thing I really miss about leaving Bristol is the banter and excitement of Ashton Gate on match days. But is there excitement there any more? When a radio commentator says after one hour's play on Tuesday night that he is totally lost for words, then maybe we should just close up and last one out turn of the lights.

It is supposed to be entertainment but it isn't anymore.
Your's sincerely and with a great deal of sadness about the state of my Bristol City!

    Mr cidered abroad

Don't have a go at the kit for being a horrible dirty colour somewhere between dark red and maroon with a lot of black its extra special. It is so special City have decided to charge morefor a shirt than the same design Hull use.

City charge more per item because they know they will sell less of them.
If they had gone for something attractive in RED & WHITE they would have sold loads more!
At least Hull City's colours have always been Amber and BLACK

I don't know about sales, but with the season ticket came added bonuses supposedly. £10 off a shirt for season ticket holders. I would have bought the away kit for my son only City put an extra £5 on this season. The home kit is more expensive than Hulls for the same design. Fans are being treated as muglets.

I doubt a real City fan would base their decision on buying a season ticket on the design of the kit. Thats ****ing mental!

Compared to this time last year we have a much better manager, a better chairman, better backroom staff, and better signings - I for one expect a better season than the last few years.

Pretty sure the recession and rising cost of living has had a pretty big effect on most fans decisions on whether to buy now or only go to games when they can afford it.

(p.s. personally I thought Morris and Cunningham were pretty big signings bearing in mind their Premiership CV's, although they probably didnt demand the size of wage James was on - what would you prefer? sign some 'bigger' names to sell some extra tickets but then go bankrupt and end up playing in the same league as the Gas? no thanks!)

    Define real?

The clubs [whatever that passes for now] actions are having a debilitating effect on support.

There is barely a Bristol City fan on the board anymore and it shows. There is a lack of thought, respect maybe consistently lacking in the way the club fails to interact with support.
