ok it's in the mail, but maybe some truth in it....

sunderland keeper craig gordon hopes to get the all clear from specialists on tues, after steve bruce pleaded with him to delay knee surgery.

after migs two howlers against brum (two, don't really blame him for the second) bruce wants gordon to start against wigan.

and at the end it says bruce fears wellbeck could be out for the rest of the season.

but surely if gordon is capable, he should be starting??????????

If he is the slightest way iffy I'd stick with Mig we don't want him to break down and need replacing in the first half. I like Gordon he has turned me around to him after being unimpressed at paying 9mil for him and then not showing he was worth 9mil, my only problem with him is he is very brittle maybe too brittle for a top notch keeper (thinking of Kirkland here) only time will tell. I would start the same team as Saturday give them another chance to show they can perform and get that crucial win.

Bardsley's fault for the first I'm afraid. A defender in that position should have put the ball into touch regardless of what the keeper says or does.

    I agree with Talcnturnip.

Wasn't Mig our man of the match against Man City?
I'd play Mig unless Craig is 100% ok.

As much as I love Gordon and believe that he should be our number 1, I hope that he does not break down, if he does we will be ****ed. Plain and simple. He will most probably be out for most of the season and then we will have to look for a back up keeper in for Mig as Craig will be out most of next season. Hopefully that doesn't happen cause I firmly believe that Gordon is one of the best players SAFC have ever had, and Mig is on his way up aswell but right now Gordon v ig it's Gordon everytime. Hopefully he comes through the rest of the season unscathed.
