after the first 10 games. Each season one of the newly promoted clubs starts off with a real bang and surprises every-one. I think that will be us and despite our tough start I can see us being in the top half of the table after our first 10 matches with around 15pts. Thats four wins and three draws. Achievable IMO or am I just dreaming?
I would consider it a decent start if we get results in 6/10 games (win or draw) with hopefully enough wins to be midtable. I have a feeling we will get too many draws initially.
Yeh sounds about right, would love to be proved wrong but everyone expecting us to be the 'surprise package' might have a surprise IMO. I'm just hoping to stay up which I think we will!
I have: City: Loss Wigan: Win Utd: Loss Arsenal: Loss Villa: Draw Everton: Loss Fulham: Draw West Ham: Loss Spurs: Loss WBA: Win 8 points from 10 games.
Man City (A) L Wigan (H) W Man Utd (H) D Arsenal (A) L Aston Villa (H) D Everton (A) L Fulham (H) W West Ham (A) D Tottenham (H) D West Brom (A) W W:3 D:4 L 3 (13 points) This is the most optimistic I can be.
I think we can potentially beat Villa at home....but yes, it's going to look a bit ugly at the start.
Man City (A) L Wigan (H) W Man Utd (H) W Arsenal (A) L Aston Villa (H) W Everton (A) L Fulham (H) W West Ham (A) W Tottenham (H) D West Brom (A) D I think we have a fairly decent chance of beating United at home. United have always started slowly in the past and with 29,000 Saints fans cheering them on I think we could give them a shock. We could get a point at Arsenal (although I do think we'll lose). I think we'll have a decent start.
After 10 games for Southampton: Wins: 4 Draws: 3 Losses: 3 Position: 10th. As you can see, I am expecting big things from the Stripes this Season! Good Luck!
Man City (A) L Wigan (H) W Man Utd (H) D Arsenal (A) L Aston Villa (H) D Everton (A) D Fulham (H) D West Ham (A) D Tottenham (H) L West Brom (A) D 9 points, 16th place.
If we have 10 points after 10 games we've done very well and would be well on course for survival in my opinion. I think we'll be on between 5 and 8 points. Last season we were in the top two all season, this year we could be in the bottom three all season but stay up (our last 10 games look a lot better than our first 10 games, if we can be within 6 points of safety with 10 to go I fancy our chances).
