What would be the biggest lose for the teams - RVP or Modric leaving?

Because you are doing it just as he is leaving. Not even subtle.

I think RVP is the bigger loss, but expect Arsenal to do better than us regardless.

I think Both players would be equaly missed, as in prior to the transfer window, they would have been sorely missed.

Now Arsenal have Cazorla (brilliant player especially for the fee) and two other strikers, i think they will all click as Wenger buys usually do.

    Now we are playing 4-3-3/4-2-3-1
I can't see how we can accomodate Gylfi, Rafa, Thud, Carrol, Sandro, Livermore and Modric. All are or could be top class replacements, and imo if we sell modders we should invest in a new striker.

  4. It's all about instilling belief.

Whinger always seems to have the ability to instill belief into the Arsenal players that they are winners, even when they are not top 4 material (like last season), and spur them on to a decent finish. Our players never seem to believe that they are good enough to be at the top, although Harry seemed to be able to, finally, instill a modicum of belief into our lads.

I'm interested to see if AVB has the ability to get our lads believing that they are winners. If he can do that, there is no reason why we should not be able to out-perform a crippled Arsenal.

I wouldn't underestimate the goons - VP or no VP they are stronger than last year.
As are Chelsea and Liverpool. I expect us to fight for 5th with pool n Newcastle.

That's not true. I have rated Modric highly since 2007. I was gutted when he signed for you just before the Euro's, same way I was screaming for us to get Torres (when at Atletico) and Silva (when at Valencia).

I took my Dad to the Chelsea v Spurs game (United fan but soft spot) and he said Modric was by a mile the best player on the pitch (a pitch containing Drogba, Lampard, Bale, Cole, Terry etc). Admittedly that's just his opinion but if a neutral can go and say that it speaks volumes. I was crying out for us to sign Modric this year and last, all the Chelsea lot on here will vouch for me on that

By the way, the question is which player would be the biggest loss...

  8. I don't think either will be a threat to us.

Toon will be overreaching themselves two seasons in a row if they are competitive for a consecutive 5th place finish, and 'Pool will crumble as soon as Rodgers gets the Mousers on his back.

I really cannot decide which club has the most humourless fans, 'Pool or Arsenal.

"Modric is head and shoulders better than any other Spurs player." This is a weak wind up. Bale made a number of world elevens. Modric made none. Are you sure you didn't mean "RVP is head and shoulders better than any other Arsenal player"?
