Since when did they "seed" teams in the cup competition>?? Is this to try to ensure the bigger clubs kids get more chance of progreesing?? Bollocks IMO - should never change the way a competition is set up - next they'll tell us the FA cup will be seeded as well!!
Agree - mind you they are a bit good in the Johnstone Paints so they might be one of the more difficult opponents. Either way I want us to really have a good go at this comp
you can also look at it another way, the smaller clubs will nearly always gets a bigger club = more revenue for the smaller club who would probaly not get much further anyway (occasionally they do but there can still be giant killing this way) Fa cup this obviously Blyth Saprtans Vs Yoevil 3rd round Blyth Spartans vs Newcastle United 3rd round Blyth could probably make more money from the 2nd one than if they could getting to the bloody final lol and if they won..... I know it could be drawn like that anyway, but i still cant see a problem with seeded teams and unseeded teams
from @SkySportsNews Sky Sports News twitter Slight delay to League Cup draw - but it's coming up LIVE on #SSN this hour
Just my opinion NQ - It annoys me that a competition that has been going for 52 years and has worked fine has to be changed to (IMO) hinder the lesser clubs - i.e. the League 1 and 2 clubs). Why did it need changing? I personally don't think it'll make the bigger clubs play any different players to what they would have (i.e. their reserves) so I'm a little miffed about it personally.
