As Hull City will be a seeded team in the 2nd round draw that rules out any PL teams and top half championship clubs. Anyone at home is ok by me, but an away game at either Burton Albion or Morecambe will do fine also. If i have to travel can it be to a new ground please. Would love a Humber derby. Well played Scunny. 3-0, 4-1, 5-3 down in injury time. Win 7-6 on pens. Has to be the result of the round. Sorry Northampton Town you were a close 2nd. imo. Some massive casualties this week. GONE....Sheffield utd-Notts County-Blackpool-Huddersfield-Brighton(oh dear,lol)-Cardiff(last seasons beaten Finalists)City-Millwall-Derby-Charlton-Bristol City. How many saw this carnage happening ? We can only be drawn against the Wendies, Forest or Barnsley from the championship by the way. AND Peterborough. My error forgot the Posh.
How did you work that out? Ricardo's list shows Peterborough, Forest, Barnsley and Sheff Weds who are in the Championship now so even if it is regionalised (is it? OLM? Ricardo?) we could still play Sheff Wednesday.
The list of teams we could get is up on the clubs official page - Barnsley, Bradford City, Burton Albion, Carlisle United, Coventry City, Crawley Town, Crewe Alexandra, Colchester United, Doncaster Rovers, Gillingham, Leyton Orient, Morecambe, MK Dons, Northampton Town, Nottingham Forest, Oxford United, Peterborough United, Plymouth Argyle, Preston North End, Scunthorpe United, Sheffield Wednesday, Stevenage, Swindon Town, Tranmere Rovers, Walsall.
Regardless of opposition I hope it's a home draw, one more game for me. I won't be around much after Bolton (I'm travelling on the Millwall day so I don't know if I'll have the time). (Edit) ****!
I like a trip to the Keepmoat and I missed the friendly as I was in London, so it'll do me fine. A reasonable chance of winning, not far down the road and it's an alright little stadium.
"Norwich vs Scunthorpe" League Two take on the Premier League. Christ, these people really have no idea.
What's wrong with that? Good chance of winning, easy to travel to, good ground. Can't complain really.
Have Scunny been demoted? Last I heard they are in League One. Morecambe who are in League Two will take on Sunderland.
I amended it for the Wendies but forgot about the Posh. From round 3 when the PL teams involved in europe join in does the draw become a Free draw when ahyone can get anyone. Spot on. I wanted a new away ground but apart from Scunny for an away draw Doncaster is about perfect. Correct. Some folks are never happy. Looking at the draw overall its a mixed bag. Some great ones and some awful. No chance of our game being on sky either. That looks to be 2 games from the following IMO Yeovil v. West Brom Coventry v. Birmingham Carlisle v. Ipswich (nice trip for the tractor boys - lol) Sheffied Weds v. Fulham Stevenage v. Southampton Crawley v. Bolton Gillingham v. Middlesboro (oh dear, another crazy hike) Northampton v.. Wolverhampton MK Dons v. Blackburn +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Spare a thought for the fans of Middlesboro - Plymouth(away to Burnley) - Ipswich Town - Barnsley(away to Swansea) and people wonder why crowds are so low at coc games. Imo the best way to make rounds one and two more interesting would be as follows:- Round 1)Keep the regions as they are but then spit each one into a closer area. (ie.the south would be midlands teams to london and london down to the south coast, Leicester having to go to Torquay was crazy). Round 2)All unseeded teams get home draws and again keep the regions. Its not perfect by any means buts its a damn sight better than what we have now. imo.
I dont normally consume stadium food unless i am desperate but these burgers are only bettered by the vendor outside Sheffield Utds ground(away section) plus if they have anything left after the game its sold off at £1 a pop. Looks like the Doncaster game will be played on tuesday night 28th August ko.7.45pm but why the hell dont they play if on the monday which is a Bank Holiday with a 3pm start. ? Dont they want anyone in attendance ? ?
