This is just for people outside the local area. I believe the reason is that the clubs have to pay a licence fee - which of course Pompey can't/won't pay. As I'm out of the area I have to pick up the radio on internet but it goes off the air before the match starts. Very annoying - last year I subscribed to Bristol City FC to get radio commentary from the opposition teams. There are some other teams that don't subscribe either - on those occasions I had to listen to the Bristol City match whilst reading the News live texts. For a short while last season PFC had radio coverage on the O/S but when Antonov was arrested that ended so it was back to Brizzle until the end of the season. No wonder I'm confused!
You can watch Liam Lawrence play for his new club PAOK Salonika tonight on vipb ox. They are up against AO Xanthi- wish the lad well
Just had to pay & sign up to Bournemouth player to listen to the the Plymouth commentary. The trials and tribulations of supporting Pompey!
1-0 down at half time. Plymouth scored an excellent goal in about the 46th. minute. Sounds like our kids playing well. Ashley Westwood (our only experienced player) went off injured (nasty knee injury ?) after 35 minutes. Let us hope the kids can fight back in the second half PUP PPU
Just had a twitter conversation with Jamo - we have no reserve keeper so suggested if he nipped down there quick he could get on the bench.
Maybe - he said he's just had his dinner but would be okay for extra time and peno's! I said he's on and I'll phone and let Appy know
Far as I know all of our voices went to the 11 on the pitch and Appy. And still going now. Pompey refusing to leave in support of them.
I knew it happened at Doncaster, surprises me that it happened at SMS, would have thought they'd want to kick everyone out so they could get on the coaches! Still think we should make our feelings towards Chainrai known though (again within reason).
At SMS, police didn't wanna seem provocative, according to my mate who is a police special and on duty that day. They just left us to it. I also think we should let our feelings towards BC be known.
I think we need to be a lot more targetted letting BC know our feelings. It's one thing to say "you greedy b*******get out of our club" but that just comes over as a general hate thing. Something more along the lines of "we know what you're doing and we're watching you" or "we know what your intentions are but there are no assets left to strip - cut your losses and go" might sound more threatening.
I've heard of that, but I'm not sure the exact tune? However, this does remind me of a Horrible Histories book I used to have: Rowdy Revolutions or whatever it was called. There was a section where it was talking about slogans used in rebellions and it had a few from rebellions that failed, some of which were quite good, then it had "No taxation without representation" and said something "You can't chant it, you can barely even say it, but the rebellion succeeded which just goes to show.... something".
Here's a little interview with Apple after the game. Sounds like the youth gave a good account of themselves which is all you can ask http://audioboo.fm/boos/920708-mich...=retweet&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
Up till the 85 minute, it was only a wonder goal that was separating us. In the end, experience and superior fitness triumphed but all we ask is that they give there all, and they did.
