I hope you are right, but I look at our form at the end of last season and now our pre-season form has been just as bad, I think we are in serious trouble and it could be worse if a very expensive journeyman is bought and proves not up to it as most of out budget will have been spent!
It'll be a relegation battle most of next season, if we're lucky we'll scrape out of the bottom 3 with a couple of weeks to go
On Saturday my guess we will play 4-6, the strikers we have are not up it, Sess will try and get some fitness and buzz around for 60 mins by then we will be 3 goals down and will bring on Campbell and ano and we will concede another couple of goals chasing the game. You may guess I am not looking forward to this season starting that much, poor end to last season continued with a poor pre-season so why should the start of the new season be any better. We have been missing 2 decent strikers for 18 months, and we seem we cannot get passed paying way over the odds for a fairly average journeyman..poor management and planning, perhaps the eye has been off the ball setting up all the sponsorship deals when it was a couple of strikers and a creative midfielder (plus hanging onto Sess) should have been the priority!
we didnt have any strikers when we played arsenal last year and we did really well, got beat at there place by an on fire rvp and we lost to a last minute goal at our place. cant see how we all of a sudden are gona get hammered after our manager has had plenty of time to work with his squad and we might have some new players anyway!!! relax lads ktf
The line between what we did last season and relegation is very thin. Take away 10 goals from last seasons record, which is quite possible even if the current strikers start to find their feet and we would do well not to go down. It should also not be forgotten that confidence plays a huge part when it comes to results and we've all seen what happens when teams struggle to score....it saps confidence and things start to fall apart all over the pitch. Seriously, i think MON is more than aware of this and will take steps to rectify the situation.....time will tell!
