Folks not the best of news, but City FM and Radio Merseyside today reporting that as a condition of the Rodwell deal it was established that EFC are to have first refusal on any loan deal involving Adam Johnson. Was with the bairn in Speke Retail Park, when it came blaring out over the shop radio. Upon getting in the car an alternative station was reporting the same thing and also suggesting that EFC were going to trigger the agreed condition imminantly. If this is the case Iam becoming increasingly cheesed off at our apparant lack of activity in acquiring players of his calibre if available, which he appears to be.
He still has the right to knock them back of course mate, all it means is that Everton get their pitch in first. We may (or may not) hold the trump card of him being from the North East, but my feeling is he'll stay at City till at least January.
****KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK, and Buggerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I think citeh would rather sell than loan AJ gets him off the books completely and there's not a cat in hella chance of Everton stumping up 14m for him.. On the other hand if we can put it up for fletcher and wolves are dicking us around I'd rather we binned that deal off and moved for AJ..
The news reports I heard Dean, were only in relation to a proposed loan deal...so Iam assumming it would be a different kettle of fish with regards to a permanant deal.
Yeah, the best way to bypass that one is to buy the lad if he is into it. We were promised quality and quality doesn't come cheap
We should go in and buy him, using the money we were going to spend on Fletcher....and forget about Fletcher at the price Wolves want!
Bin Fletcher and buy AJ and either do with the current strike force which wiil have much better service anyway or buy a striker worth £3m or £4m aswell. It's common sense really...a no brainer...so that means...it won't happen!..........
