apparently anthony pilkington was called up to replace wes but has withdrawn with injury. must have been a secret callup as i can find no mention of it anywhere. still, at least after there debacle in the euro's they are thinking of different players.
I hope that we don't have any other players who have drunk a pint of Guinness in the past and thereby qualify for the ROI as it seems that as soon as they get called up they drop with injury. didn't know that Pilks had committed to ROI as I think he qualifies for England as well.
ROI inquired about pilks but got told he got a tight hamstring against borussia on Saturday, he didn't actually get called up
He was never fully called up, but that's certainly something for him to think about. He's an awesome player, but he'll never get in the England squad because Liverpool haven't bought him for 15 billion pounds.
The only down side to Pilks is his pace, if he was as quick as Matt Jarvis then he would be in the England squad I reckon.
