Hypothetical, but Bendtner will probably be going for somewhere around 6 million.

If Fletcher is going to cost something over 12 million would it be better to try and get Bendtner back on a 3 or 4 year contract. He's a better player than Fletcher and knows our team so will take no time to fit in.
I know many of you don't rate Bendy but I think he was the most skilfull player we had last season (yes, including Sess) and if he commited to us it would be fantastic.

We would then still have 6 million to spend on another player.

Even if we're not going to get him a 6 million public bid for Bendy would get Wolves nervous.

Bendtner isnt really a striker though (he drifts about a hell of a lot), not his fault wenger played him coming in off the wing a lot, so he has had that drilled into him.

If he can sort that out and stay in the box, then yes he is a better player, and worth less, but he also said he would not come back and lots of big clubs were in for him, hmm OK news to us, so i just cant see it.

Anyone think Bendtner, and a greedy player like Odemwingie could be a cracking strike force?

We'd get the pair for less than a Fletcher, and both are primed for a move.

Bendtner is often outside the box, but he links the play well, we just had nobody running ahead of him, Odemwingie is an around the box player, so Bendtner could in this scenario become a MASSIVE asset.

Or have I had too much sun?

I think Ji will make an impact this year, based on his excellent Olympics.

Nope not too much sun at all Mush..think they would have made a pretty good strike force, but somehow no one at SAFC appears to have given it much thought. Theyve all been 100% convinced theyd land Fletcher without any inkling of a plan B being in existance

A combination of any two from Defoe, Bendtner, Odemwingie represents much better value than Wolves are asking for Fletcher. The one thing I don't understand is you could surely pick up two foreign strikers for less than 5m each of a similar ability to Fletcher. And what is Fletcher going to ask for wages now he has had it drummed into him that he is a 20m superstar?

They should just leave it now, its beyond a joke.
