A few weeks back I proposed on one of the threads that the Saints fans travelling to Man City should all be standing and singing "One Markus Liebherr, there's only one Markus Liebherr..." and other appropriate songs in honour of him and celebrating our return to the prem, when the clock strikes the 62nd minute. Is there anyone on here going to the game that agrees? It would also be good if there was someone who was signed up to saintsweb who would be able to spread the idea over to their users too.. Shame to see that there is still a fair few tickets unsold, how many do you think will go?
I'm going with my brother, and both of us would certainty join in. I can't understand why we're not selling out our first game back in the premier league, empty seats on the tele is going to look embarrassing.
Its still the holiday season. it's expensive, travelling by public transport on a Sunday and most of all it's on TV. Still think we will have a great turn-out though.
I need to pick and choose the games I go to. I'm a student and I can't afford to splash out £50 for a ticket and more for transport to go and see us very likely lose.
I too am a student, and I've been working/saving all my money so I can do as many away games as last season. Travelling up on the Saturday, back on the Monday. You should look into advance booking. A return from London to Manchester is just £24 on a railcard. And we have a room for two nights at £50. It does all add up but there are bargains to be had.
Those of us who supported Saints through the PL before have great experience of buying tickets to see us lose. A bit of girding of loins needed.
Why are there unsold tickets? These are tough times. £50 ticket prices can't be helping, especially as most of us are still reeling from the season ticket price hike...
I would go, but need to save the money for my 3 week journey across Europe, leaving on Friday! Have fun everyone that's going though, shout for me
