    Good result. 4-1 to City against Newcastle is more than decent even in a pre-season friendly.

    Onwards and upwards. <ok>

    <wah> I'm gonna talk about football if you're going to be like that!

    Great result today albeit a friendly and a bit of momentum for the road to Wembley (League Cup, not play-offs!). Then a good result at Northampton to take into the game with Huddersfield. As you say, this Bellamy bloke is going have to impress if he doesn't want to be a bench warmer.

    <sorry>

    Looking forward for the real stuff to start. Ralls looks like he's becoming a squad fixture which is a bonus.

    With Bellamy to come in and Kimbo (who was named in the team of the Olympics), there is real competition for places. It'll be nice to be able to rest a player or take someone off after 20 mins without weakening the team. Keeps the opposition on their toes as well.

    Even the weakened team for Northampton will look strong. I wonder if Bellers will get the opportunity to prove himself in mid week?

    Thought that Mutch was impressive. Him and Gunner with Whitts behind them look a real handful in midfield and we stepped off them a bit in the second half as Cowie and Kiss came on. Ralls looked good if a bit one footed, as well as being played out wide but took his goal well. Conway was the usual, put in a shift but lacked the pace and failed to beat his man but looked slimmer than last year. We played some good passing movements and looked a like a squad who could do a bit more (not just Plan A but B and C as well)
    Disappointed with Newcastle. Was looking forward to seeing Ba and Cisse and didn't even notice that Tiote was on the pitch til he was subbed. Good to know we could play some of their first team and backups off the pitch anywho. A good run out.

    Not having any Tom, Dick or Harry just waltzing into the team Sparkey. We need to see if he's up for it. :emoticon-0105-wink:

    You've obviously been away too long, you're starting to miss the humour. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    The Greek are cutting back on humous production after further fall in demand. They are blaming a double dip recession.

    Saw the highlights on french tv yesterday and City looking good and seemed to play some good attacking football ,put a message on the Toon board under the headline Cardiff v Newcastle match saying we played well but could have done with a stiffer test as in players missing ect ect then along came a swansea mod called jumpingfagash (what the feck the match had to do with him?) asking if he could use their Bellamy jibes ........what a sad JB .........................stalker material :bandit:

    John, get a life byt. As posted in the banter thread, I'v posted many times on the Toon board, you havn't, so perhaps it's you that's the stalker?

    They wern't Bellamy jibes either. Not once did the Toon fans take the piss out of Bellamy, so there's another lie.

    I'v tried, and tried to get the Swans and Cardiff fans to be civil and discuss our teams toegether (Seeing as alot of English clubs fans don't want us here), but it's always you that buggers it up. I can have decent discussion with Clingo, CCFCremote, Taff, Rhondda, ITIWRAN and then there's decent banter, but you just contrinually take it that step too far.
