The real truth is that they were never going to satisfy everybody or anybody with their selection. As Closing Ceremonies go it was a good one. Who truly gives a **** what the rest of the world thought? It was a British party to celebrate the end of the games. The BBC have been going on about the Rio showcase which I thought was very predictable and poor - perhaps that was because of the crap commentry on last night which didn't prepare the audience for any of the sequences - now that WAS crap!
Yeah it was a little cliche but I suppose they're not going to put the good stuff in the trailer after another countries successful games. Lesson learned from us? Do your own thing and don't try and match your predecessor; can't fail if it can't be compared: much to the annoyance of the Chinese press it seems...
