The new Premier League season is just around the corner and William Hill make Manchester City the 6/5 favourites to lift the trophy and Hill's punters agree.
City are the second best backed side with only Liverpool attracting more money - largely down to the fact that one punter has staked £22,000 e/w on the Reds winning the Premier league. For the first time in Premier League history, punters are mostly staying away from Manchester United who are the 5/2 second favourites for the trophy.

Good luck for the season, its going to be a cracker. Have a feeling last season will seem easy in comparison <ok>

The Liverpool fan has more money than sense. There is more chance of Arsenal winning the CL than there is of Liverpool winning the title.

The reigning champions usually start as favourites, if they didn`t it would be like the bookies saying they didn`t deserve to win it last season. The odds start to look diffferent 10-15 games in when people have had a look and decided where to put their money. Blackburn were favourites once, enjoy it while you can it may be your only chance :emoticon-0105-wink:

Which team sold out every league game last season, have sold out all their season tickets and already sold out first 2 home games?
Which team has had to resort to send out begging letters to get supporters to renew their season tickets and are still some way from selling out?
Which ill informed rag poster has just made a right **** of himself?

I remember well on the glorious day we lifted the cup and became the PL champions thinking if only we had filled our ground every game this could have been so much better.
