I never normally create an off topic thread but this is to help me get through an 8 hour day of revision tomorrow. I need to update my ipod and I am looking for something along the lines of:

    Kasabian - Club Foot
    Feeder - Feeling a moment
    Pendulum

Or any of you rap/hip-hop lovers, I am in to that too!

    Help would be appreciated, thanks!

Get the debut album by "The Music"

If you've never heard it you're in for a treat. Failing that, get their second album, "Welcome to the north".

Also, Butterfly House by The Coral is one of the best albums I've heard in the last 20 years <ok>

Like Foo Fighters new album. Havent been able to find a link to download it from though. <grr>

From what I've heard of it I'd recommend it though. A lot heavier than their last couple of albums.

It's about time like! I personally hated all his 'club' music, it was tame, unintelligent and bordering on farcical...He just needed to get back to doing honest stuff with decent lyrics and good old Dre-style beat and loop!

    Rap/hip hop:

Eminem's first 3 albums are virtually flawless. Relapse and Recovery are decent, Encore is awful.
Nas - Illmatic, It Was Written, Stillmatic, God's Son, Hip-Hop Is Dead, Distant Relatives
Masta Ace - Disposable Arts, A Long Hot Summer
    Talib Kweli - Quality
The Roots - Game Theory, How I Got Over, Things Fall Apart, Phrenology
    Sadistik - The Balancing Act
    OutKast- Aquemini, Stankonia
Black Star - Mos Def & Talib Kweli are Black Star
CunninLynguists - Will Rap For Food, Southern Underground
Dr. Dre - 2001 (purely for the production)
Kanye West - Late Registration (again, for production)
    Lowkey - Dear Listener
Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint, Black Album (anything after that is terrible)
Lupe Fiasco - The Cool, Food & Liquor
Slick Rick - The Great Adventures of Slick Rick (hilarious storytelling)

I could go on, will leave it at that

^Talking of Vinnie Paz, did you hear his solo album last year? Absolutely dreadful! Lines about Obama being born in a test tube <laugh>

Season of the Assassin? I thought it was a decent album. End of Days is a great song though, doubt that line is meant to be taken seriously, although that song does sample David Icke, so a genetically modified president isn't much of a jump from there.
