I knew this is how things would go under MON. He does not have a record of making stunning signings. What he does have a record of doing is taking average players and making them great, Making a team great and finishing in the top half. To be honest I don't think it matters who we sign or who we have playing for us, as long as MON is happy with what we have got we will do well next season. Remember he has had a full pre season with the players now so he will know a lot more about what we have and what our players strengths and weakness's are. We need 2 x strikers and I am willing to bet Fletch with be here by the end of the week and someone else before the end of the window, so they are the positives.
Our problem is that the formation of 4-6 has no visible or perceptible goal threat, the opposition thinks it cannot get beat and surges forward looking for goals, our midfield struggles mentally and physically to see themselves as a goal threat. A couple of good strikers mean the oppo sit back and cover the strikers leaving more room for the midfielders to score. That I believe is the logic or 'doom' prediction for our game against the gooners. Of course you can be optimistic and believe in Santa Claus, the tooth fairy and that if you clap hard enough Tinkerbell will come back to life and O Sunderland will beat Arsenal at the weekend
