I've really enjoyed it, so glad they've got Elbow playing, they're an absolutely awesome band and very appropriate for occasions like this.

Fuming at Ed Sheeran murdering Pink Floyd's wish you were here into a bad, generic poppy piece of crap. Aside from that think it's been decent.

Like it or not, the opening /closing ceremonies are part of the Olympics, and can be used to sell your nation to the world...If you didnt even watch them, then it is my opinion that your opinion is invalid as to whether it was crap or not..I did watch them, and thought that the opening ceremony in particular was a great advert for our nation, as were the games themselves..

Think it was excellent, if not as random and imaginative as the opening.

We ****ing nailed these olympics, we put on the PERFECT games.

    Proud.

Agreed, the only bit that really let it down was Jessie Jay singing with Queen. That was poor.

Be PROUD. Billions will have enjoyed by the day’s end.
What a LIVE Celebration of British music that’s generations have grown up to, celebrated with & commiserated with.
This was the entree to the Carnival 2016

    ......

My old man you to say “If you only want to complain about things & have no idea what to do, Vote Labour”. It might only be an internet forum but get some time & get some fun back into your life. You never seem to have anything positive to say these days.

Your an preformer who knows more than me but I think a few will not appriciate the logistics that must be involved for so many acts so from my point of view the sound was fine....SORRY

Aye but she'd already appeared, so wasn't really needed, it didn't work, but it didn't detract from the overall quality.

    I would mind ;)

I should go to jail for what I'd do to her.

I think I need to speak to a therapist.

huh if i dont want to watch the ****, i wont watch the ****.

Take That and Spice Girls were crap the first time around, so not gong to sit through the 2nd time, pop in general I hate, I wont buy it, I wont listen to it, I wont even download it for 0, so I am not going to sit through it for an hour or 5.

I do Vote Labour btw, and this was a waste of money for the North East, it was all about London, and the south, like crap usually is.

and its a free country I can complain if i want, and my view does count even if i didnt watch it, as i know i would not have enjoyed it and i would have went crazy (just like the X bloody factor crap), you watched it, you enjoyed it, fine, I wouldnt have, last one I seen was the World Cup in america when Dionne Warwick missed the pen, I just shook my head and turned the TV off never to watch one again, as is my perogative.
