Don't worry, I'm sure he's not as sensitive as Big Nige, he'll be fine.

Embarrassing yes, but no more than anyone would have expected. This cup in particular gets notoriously poor attendance levels. I'm sure Bruce will take solace in the first home league game which is far more important.

Christ people are taking this personally.

It's not aimed at self-centred individuals on here that take everything to be a direct insult to them. If it was your kids' birthday or whatever then I think we can make allowances.

I really doubt that 10,000-12,000 people turned up to the birthday party so where the **** was everyone else?
Oh, and blaming the competition isn't really an excuse. It's still competetive, and it should be even more special as this season it was actually our first fixture.

Not to mention Bruce's first game in charge etc.

My car is broken at the moment, but luckily my sister was at work for 10:30, so got a lift - sat in my usual spot in E2 and hardly any of the regular faces were there... there was actually more FAMILIES in E2 than individuals/groups of blokes. So that explains the lack of singing. A group of lads at the top of E1 tried to get chants going, but that was never going to happen.

I think Rotherham fans thought it was the cup final.

On a side note, how fat were their fans? obviously Steve Evans has been passing on his dietary advice.

12 quid and a quid for the grandson who had his 1st visit to KC. I wanted to see if he would sit throughout the full match without getting bored. He loved it, I was bored ****less, the atmosphere was dire.

Only £6 for me, and I still regretted it. I think I may have thrown myself from the West Upper if I'd had to pay double that!

one thing that makes me laugh is the number of supporters who moan about how quiet the atmosphere is but do they realise the reason for this is that many of these moaners never open there mouths themselves, near the end of last season two blokes sat behind me were moaning about the crowd been quiet which i had heard many times before except this time i turned around to these two and said i had never heard them sing a song yet so instead of moaning get singing. However my words had no effect they stopped moaning in fact they never said another word

I think everyone feels that way though johnbo.

Everyone wants to sing but feel they won't be joined by anyone else.

The attendance was 20% higher than the last time we had a L2 side at home in the League Cup.

Largely helped by the fact that the away side brought about twenty times as many supporters.

I'm currently still enjoying Brazil so was unable to attend, but honestly, I wouldn't have anyway.

I did follow the match on twitter though (thanks Rick) whilst in a steakhouse getting smashed and stuffing my face with shrimp.
